2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited Review

All Around Good Suv — I have a 03' 4runner that I bought certified preowned this year. I found one with 24k miles on it. Back to the car, I love it. It drives really well for an SUV of its size. I have the 4.0 V6 and it moves. I live in Boston so snow is common and the first snow of the year I got on the road before anybody else. Untouched snow that was only about an inch thick (very slippery) and my 4runner drove like it was just another day. Never lost traction even on tight corners. Haven't had one problem yet and Toyota is known for its realiability. All I need now is a place to do some serious off roading. I had my doubts about the 4runner at first but have yet to be let down by it. Great buy. Owner for 0 years, 5 months Miles Driven per Year:20,000

ProsRugged, Fun, Durable, Safe, Roomy, Sleek, Handles very well. ConsN/A

I Love My 4runner — Build Quality: This 4Runner sustained a rear end collision while we were stopped when the other driver hit me at a speed between 45-55 MPH - it was verified that she didn't try to stop. My 4Runner had minor damage. Her car was trashed. My toddler was safe. I had minor neck injury from the sheer force of the hit. The emergency crew on scene were astounded at how well my vehicle stood up in that scenario and said most cars and passengers in those same situations end up badly injured with totaled vehicles. My car was drivable and had minor body work done. I still drive it and would buy another one. Performance: It outperforms most vehicles of this class, and even some smaller cars which have been tricked to race. Tow capability. Handles very well. Appearance: Rugged exterior yet still sleek in body styling. Spoiler is a must! Interior is comfortable, user friendly and roomy. Plenty of space for the family and your luggage for your road trip. Cost of Ownership: MPG is excellent, we've maintained the vehicle meticulously, so even now that we're over 100K in miles, it runs as beautifully as the day we drove it off the lot. Fun Factor: It's 4WD, it's fun! Upgrade your tires and you're set for some major fun. If we had the SeaDoo's we'd be towing them around to the lake and back for more fun. The tow capability is good for the V6. Get a V8 and it's even better. Primary Use: Family transportation

Best Suv Ever — This never failed me until I had some PM work done at the dealership. BE careful who works on this piece of art. Should last you 300,000 miles with the right mechanic. I had the v8 which had similar fuel economy to the new 6 but I liked the 8 better personally.

Amazing. — The performance is amazing! I have the iForce 4.7L 32 valve V8 in mine, and it has a lot of passing power & get-up-and- go! I test drove the 4.0L 24 valve V6 too, and it is the same as well, just a little less. The quality is out standing, it is a Toyota after all! Reliability is still being tested, I've only had it for a little over a month and only driven it 1,199 miles but I know that they are reliable, a family member owns one (Only his is 4x4, 4 wheel drive, mine is only 4x2, 2 wheel drive) and they have 160,000 miles and have only done routine maintenance (oil changes, air filters, brakes, tires, etc)

Prosgood gas mileage, selectable 2wd, 4wd, comfortable to drive, lots of room, over all excellent vehicle ConsLighting at night, rattle in the sun roof, alignment sensitivity

2003 Toyota 4-runner Suv — Its fast. It is way dependable. The vehicle drives its self down the road. Its silver, so I never have to wash it and it STILL looks clean. I don't like the fact that it is hard to keep aligned. I bought a life time alignment because of this fact; otherwise, it was 60-100 bucks every 5,000 miles. It is so fun to drive. It gets anywhere from 18-20 mpg and i have very few complaints. It has 123,000 miles on it, and it does have some rattles. there is a screw that is loose in the sun roof that ALWAYS makes noise. its slightly annoying. The head lights are not adjustable, and the vehicle was wrecked before I bought it, then a pheasant hit the head light on the left, so the left beam points lower than the right, and the right beam is still not quite high enough so the lighting at night with the low beams on really sucks. I like the fact that my model still has 2wd, 4wd hi, 4wd lo instead of the newer models that have full time 4wd,

03 4runner — It has good performance given that it has 115,000 miles on it! It is built pretty solid. The look is ok i think its a lil girly but it was a good deal! it gets around 22 mpg. I only wish it had a sunroof and a rear spoiler to make it look a lil sportier!

Love It — I really love my car. I will buy another, when I need one. Mine is blue, next time I might get white. Love the leather, heated seats and it has a really great sound system. The 4-wheel drive in the winter works well. Love the moon roof and sliding back window too. I guess I cant discribe it all. Go test drive one!

Great Truck With Sufficient Power, Comfort, And Reliability. — I have owned for one year and I love nearly everything about it. I have owned several Toyota's in the past and have had excellent experiences with all (200,000 miles and more on all). I don't expect this one to be any different as it seems like a very solid truck.
