Great Commuter Car! — Great dependable family car. These things will go forever. After an accident I decided to go through the engine and refresh a few things. At 240000 miles the cylinder walls still had the hashmarks, and the timing chain guides looked new, and the chain wasnt stretched. I need to redo the suspension, it does have 1/4 million miles on it, but other than that its a great car. Plenty of power for daily driving and gets 22 mpg.

Pros

it's a great car overall and has a solid engine.

Cons

only avoid them if they are automatics.

The Maxima — *performance: pulls great, the brakes could be better, and handles great when dropped on coilovers. *build quality: pretty good, just standard maintenance. *appearance: is in need of a lip kit. *cost: don't buy it if you cant afford it. *fun factor: it's a blast to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

2003 Maxima Se Ti Edition 6 Speed — Build Quality: I love this car, looks great, reliable, and fast as hell for a 4 door sedan. Car Comparisons: Acura TL... I heard to many horror stories about the 99-03 Acura TL transmisson problems. I could not find any 6 speed TL type-S in my price range at the time.

Maximus — This is the best car I have ever owned. Currently it has 186000 + miles and going strong. Strong acceleration, decent handling. I have never done anything in regards to non- basic maintenance! love this car , going to keep it for another 5 years!

Can't Find Anything Better In Price Range — g8 car, if it wasn't for the curb i hit there would be no complains for it. have the car for over 3 years not a single thing went wrong with it except some suspension components due to the crappy roads out here

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love The Maxima — Brakes are bad. heard that's a common problem in the 2000-2004 maxima. planning on switching with new slotted brembos or equivalent. Hawk pads or maybe green stuff. Want to do a total N/A build. goal is 300-350 WHP

I Love My Car And Plan To Hold On To It Until It Dies. — I had to have my transmission fixed before the warranty ran out. The electric window motor had to be fixed. Just recently the motor claps had to be replaced. Two years ago needed a new muffler. But I love my car anyway.

For the money I paid it is a great car 15k taxes in

Cons

it uses premium fuel

I'd Like To Be Buried In It. — I bought this car in the summer of 07 with 58k . It's big, comfortable, fast, and adequate on fuel . Its not cheap to own with the synthetic oil changes and premium fuel; however every time I get behind the wheel all my cares and worries disappear. Its classified as a sport sedan but it doesn't handle very sporty the ride is not stiff more like a cloud . accelleration is great either from a stand still or passing a slower vehicle ,the 3.5 VQ series motor really sings. Its pretty good in the winter as long as you are running winter rubber, the heated seats and excellent defrosting capabilities are great, the traction control is also helpful. I've invested about 2600 into it since i bought it (front and rear rotors and synthetic oil chgs) New summer tires are on the way next summer ; oh yeah also equipped it with mich x-ice on steeles for the winter
