Pros

One of the Fastest(if not the fastest) midsize sedan in its class.

Cons

If you don't like fast cars, this isn't the one for you. Repair costs can become pricey. This car also has a poor turning radius and loud outside road noises that you can hear from inside of the car.>>>ANNOYING!

Inexpensive, "four-door Sports-car" Like Nissan Calls The Maxima Lol — The way this car drives, I feel like I'm in a high end sports car rather than a lower-end 245hp 3.5L V6. Nissan 350Z and this car drives very similar to me which is a plus for this car being that it is a Family Sedan and not a sports car like the 350Z although the 350Z is much ruffer on the road with slightly stiffer suspensions. I have done as quick as 4.9 seconds from 0-60! Which is very quick for a none high-end car with V6; not to mention that this is the fastest car in its class. The slowest 0-60 run I've done was 6.1 seconds and that was a rainy day! I have had no major problems and I am very satisfied in my Nissan Altima. I floor it all of the time in this car and still have no major problems though this is a FWD vehicle. The car is eight years old with 105,000 miles at the time of this review (March 2011) and it's still going strong! Good acceleration and braking. The exterior is very nice, fast, and sporty looking but I kind of wish I had the SE-R model. I thought about Upgrading to SE-R in 2006 but never got around to it I guess I'm content enough with this one lol. Now, they don't even make the SE-R anymore, which sucks because Nissan only made them for two years. The interior is sporty looking with wood grain accents but the dash started cracking about a year ago of the time of this review (March 2011) and I'm a person who keeps up with my things so I was kind of surprised when I noticed it(has been fixed since then). I get about 20 City and 30 Highway MPG. Maintenance cost me about $2500 a year on average and that includes gasoline in which I use premium 93 Octane. I would say this car isn't all that expensive to keep up with as long as maintenance is maintained as scheduled; however I have had constant sensor problems in which I hope is finally resolved. This is a nice car I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fast family sedan at a low price for what the car is capable of. My Nissan Altima 3.5 SE was $31,000 brand new.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Its An All In One Car! — I loved it and always will. One of the best cars i have owned and plan on getting an SER. This car is great on gas, seems to be lowered even though i doubt it was. Many people, including me, can spot or notice this car easily and differentiate between it and another Altima thats similar. Overall, i wouldnt complain about it and enjoyed owning one.

Few complaints. It's hard to get three young kids in the back seat. That's about it.

It Will Put A Smile On Your Face. A Sleeper Sports Sedan For 4 Cyclinder, 4 Door Sedan Price. — This car is a great sports sedan. It's very fun drive and extremely reliable as well. I bought it used in September 2003 when it was about 1 year old. It's beginning to show it's age a bit but it's extremely reliable. I drive it to work every day and it does not require anythin beyond routine maintenance like oil, brakes and tires. Gas mileage is respectable at 20+ mpg in mixed driving (some highway, some city).

If You Want A Car That Your Kid Wants To Drive And Is Safe, Get The Altima. — The 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S is an all around good performer when it comes to completing the task at hand. The four cylinder engine may not carry the grunt of the larger 3.5 liter V6, but it accelerates better than most of the other small engined, mid-sized sedans. With enough room for taller members of the family, the Altima is comfy for long trips. It's fuel efficient, and these days that means so much. Not to mention, it's sleek bullet type design is easy on the eyes. There aren't many negatives about this car, except for the occasional tail light issue. But, that's an easy fix, even for a novice. All in all, the 2003 Nissan Altima is at the head of the pack in its class.

Car Of The House — I love the horsepower in this vehicle. The interior is what I hate on it right now. I am jealous of all the 07s on the road.
