Pros

Best car I have owned... I love it

Cons

I don't like the dealer (Mitz) ... not a customer oriented dealer... very expensive

Great Car... If You Can Afford The Maintenance — Gas mileage, great drivability, don't like the dealer. If you have someone that will fix the car... when you need diagnosis and repair... that is honest... this is a good car to have. Just my opinion. That is all I got.

Listen To Your Kids. — I have driven many cars in my day. A lot of these cars were brand new rightout of the box. When I bought this vehicle it was 2 years old. Now most of my vechicles you could say I lived out of them for I pretty well traveled most of my life for buisness being a week sometimes 2 or 3 weeks then home for a weekend and back on the road again on a Sunday start again the latest start of a week on a Monday.I have always said a driver must feel comfortable in vechicle for just the safety alone. For a comfort is the start of driving safely. My son talked me into the purchase of this car. I had a Plymouth Voyager as a family car at the time we were looking for another car. I believe it was a 1993 it had a Mitubishi Engine and you couldn't kill it.What that poor engine I put though should be against the law most meachanics would gave up on it. For a while 2 years to the date exactly it sat in a field started first click drove it for 2 months Highway milage included before I had a chance to get a oil change. This is when it was discovered the engine had the wrong dipstick and when it was propably checked she was down 3 litres of oil. Also with the the wrong dipstick in it. The engine would show of being full of oil when actually it was down 2 Litres. I do not know how or when the wrong was put it for the dipstick was a ford and at the time I never own a ford. Back to the Lancer I have never laid a wrench to this car except for regular maintence in 5 years. I do not care what anyone else says this is one fine built machine

A Sensible Choice For The Daily Commuter Who Wants A Little Fun In Their Ride. — A nice alternative to the all too common civic or corolla. I would describe the acceleration as adequate (hence 3 stars for performance). Handling has a definite sporty feel. Understeers quite predictably. Easy to drive at the limit. Smooth clutch operation, but shifter lacks the precision of a Honda’s. It shifts smoothly, but just not perfectly. Nice brake feel, easy to modulate. ABS really not necessary since the brakes have a very direct feel. So, this is a fun little car! Great mileage- 30+ on the highway. Just as with other small sedans, cost of ownership is very low. This is a practical, everyday car that has a bit of a sports car feel. If you are in the market for a civic, corolla, etc- don't forget to check out the lancer.

Very Sharp Looking! Suprisingly Fun To Drive And Economically Friendly! — I love driving this car. It was a great choice. Just needs more hp and a little street noise. I would like to upgrade to the 17 inch Enkei brand wheels like the Evo has.. Gas mileage is great, 27 city, 33 hwy!

Why You Should Prefer Mitsu — I love the sound of the vehicule, and the cars you can modify almost everything of it. You will be fun with this! and it doesn't bother you with the motor. It's a complete car, and you will love it!

Pros

High potential in looks and performance, great quality vehicle, awsome daily driver.

Cons

Understeers in high speed cornering without upgrades, frontwheel drive, ABS-less, limited horsepower.

Amazing Performance — I simply love this car. This car gives you really good gas mileage on the manual transmission plus with some modifications like the exhaust system increases the MPG even more. I find this car really fun to drive with incredible handling as it is lightweight with power steering. If you add little mods such as sway bars and stabilizer bars it gets even better plus with high performance tires you are good to go! Appearance in stock may not be that appealing but it is still has a nice clean look if you get yours in good condition from a trusted dealer. Last thing I have to say about this car is that it got lot of potential as there is lots of modifications out there for this baby as well as many vendors that specialize on Lancers so get one today and feel the power of an import tuner.

Good Reliable But With Some Quirks. — This is a good small car that is very efficient on gas. The car can go easy on highways and has no problem keeping up. One downside is that it didn't come with Cruise Control which makes it tough to drive long distances. Another downside is the temperature control knob. It's very hard to turn and from what I understand it's a problem with this particular model but Mitsubishi does not have a recall on them which is surprising.

Pros

Quality car, fun to drive, great gas economy

Cons

Small trunk, boring stock cd player

My Lancer — I love my car. I have had it for over three years. I never have had any problems with it. Other than little things that need to be changed on any car anyway. (belts, batteries, wipers, lights, etc.) Nothing major yet, and it has over 120,000 miles on it. 90,000 of which I have put on myself since late 2005. I drive the hell out of it and it takes the beating. Gas economy is great. I average about 26-30 mpg. It's rough in the winter, but with some good tires, it handles it wonderfully!! I live in the mountains on the south east side of Salt Lake City, UT. The car is a bit light, so it can take a little time getting up some steep snow-covered hills if you don't have the momentum going. I have only upgraded the cd player and speakers. Only because I wanted more out of it than what it had. I have two kids that fit in the back just fine. Ages 6 and 8. It has a pretty decent push when you are accelerating onto the freeway. The only problem I have is the trunk is a bit small. But I don't use it to help people move, so it is usually fine unless we are going on a trip longer than a weekend. I think it is a very fun car to drive. Sure it's a 4 banger, but it isn't bad at all. It's a sporty-yet-[small]family-friendly car. I enjoy it a lot. Cute little car.

Stylish Good First Car — its decent car for newer drivers. not the fastest but it its not slow either. this car takes off pretty quick! although at around 120 kmh it has a very hard time speeding up. brakes and corners very well considering its not all wheel drive. overall its a pretty average car

Reliable Driver With Glitches — the heat and ac system has a air diverter that stuck and no longer works properly we twisted off the knob that operates it I had to disconnect the heater hoses to get cool air in summer
