The Best Car I've Ever Owned. — Performance is incredible for the price (used), build quality is beyond compare in my experience. 70,000 miles with not one problem. The most incredible thing is that with 349hp I get about 25mpg on the highway. I've had over 50 cars and this is by far the best of the bunch. I absolutely love it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I'd Recommend It To Anyone, You Can't Beat Them For The Price. — Just bought a 2003 with 38k, awesome car, acceleration - whoa!, the power hard-top is so nice, very little road noise, handling is smooth, my wife and I both think this car is a blast to drive. I'd recommend it to anyone, you can't beat them for the price.

Pros

Of course, the looks and the power from the supercharged engine are by far the best part of the car.  But the balance of the chassis and the comfort get high marks as well.

Cons

The power. With it's short wheelbase, if you turn off the traction control, you have to respect the torque.  Some have dinged this car for vague steering. I tend to agree. It has the more tradition MB steering that feels loose at low speeds but you respect it when your speed approaches autobahn levels. Also, the trim on the interior has very thin finishes.  They scratch and wear very easily.

Power, Comfort And Style And, As A Used Car, A True Bargain. — Love the car. Hate the price of parts. But it's better than the cost of maintaining a Porsche! And, it has a trunk that holds real luggage. Some folks like their Porsches. I agree that they are great cars on the track. I had fun with mine, too. But for day to day driving, the SLK32 is far better. This is both a great sports car and a true GT car. P.S. I was just kidding about the back seat. Don't start looking for one in this car.

Awesome Little Sports Car — Great little road or commute car. The power generated by the supercharged 4 cly is awesome. The car handles like a dream at high speeds. The powered top never misses a beat and fits great when up and locked; very little wind noise. The car is not well mannered in snow and ice; although the traction control does help.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros

Well build. One of the originals.

Cons

underpowered.

Well Built & Sturdy — a lttile underpowered compared to the new one as it was lighter & not as powerful a compressor as the new model.
