Would Buy Another Tomorrow — I average 30,000 miles per year and close to 30 miles per gallon. It's still a fun car to drive after now having 200,000 miles on it. Repair costs have been acceptable. It has a lot of the features from the more expensive models which is a real plus.

This Is The Car To Have For The 2000s. — This car is worth every penny of my wallet. It's been 8 years and it can still catchup with most of car of today's. It is practical, elegant, and sporty. I love the fact that it might be the last hand built 6 cylinder AMG car from Mercedes Benz. Ownership cost is relatively cheap considering yearly insurance for a comprehensive insurance costs only USD$979 a year. Gas mileage is about 18 MPG.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Sports Sedan — Despite most models eventhough the 230 takes high octane it gets around 30mpg. Changing the oil and gerneral inpspection every 10k miles it conveniant opposed to every 3k miles stadard with most cars. For being the lowest end model MB makes its 1.8L superchardged 4 cyclinder its pretty quick, and has excellent handling. Overall I am pleased with the cars looks and features.

Pros

Excellent handling and suspension, slap-shift feature is a lot of fun

Cons

Slower than newer models, but that's true with almost all cars! Not very flexible for engine modding.

Sporty Car With An Amazing Feel Of The Road — I bought mine used in 2007 with 29k miles on it. I haven't regretted my purchase at all. Compared to the 2006 BMW 325i my brother has, the handling on the road is much more grippier and has an excellent stock sports suspension. The supercharger really makes a difference, and the fuel economy is great. I only wish I had a model with a glass roof. The only downside of this car is the limited modding capabilities. You can only do so much with the 1.8L supercharged '03. If you want to spend some extra bucks to mod your car and you're interested in purchasing a used C230, go for the '02 model or just dish out a couple thousand more for the C320. Otherwise, this is excellent for the budget sports car enthusiast who is not interested in modding.

Get It, It's Worth It If You Get A Good Deal On It. — Great car, I miss it so much now. Then again, who didn't miss their first car? Would recommend to many people! A good Mercedes for a not so big price. Should be able to fit almost any budget looking for a nice car.

Nicest Car I Have Owned — Solid, high-quality and dependable car. Classic good looks in keeping with MB tradition. Smoooth, powerful, and responsive. Easy to maneouvre in city traffic and a joy on the highway. At 6 years old, people still comment to me that it looks like a brand new car.

When purchasing tires on a 4Matic, need to purchase all new tires at the same time.  Otherwise you'll jack up the AWD sensor and that will lead to transmission problemos.

So Far, It Is A Nice Car. — Just bought it used and had it inspected by a Mercedes mechanic before purchasing it so I feel good about the car. Was told that the rear brakes had 30% left and should probably buy new tires.

I absolutely loved this car!  It handles well on the road and get good miles to the gallon.

Cons

The maintenance can be high if you're not used to it, but, if regularly maintained they will last forever!

Great Car — The Mercedes is hard to find a substitute for...Just a very reliable vehicle you would absolutely love. The maintenance can be high, but, you don't have to take it as regularly as you would a less expensive vehicle. You can keep them forever!

Strong engine, great looks, comfortable, fun to drive, solid build quality, stereo, ease of use

Cons

minor electric issues, some rough idle issues, low on power, gas mileage

Sadi — Overall, it's a great car. It seems a little low on power, but it has a strong engine, nice acceleration, great handling, and is extremely comfortable. It seems to be built fairly well, though there are some minor quality issues and electric problems, though nothing that has kept me from trusting the car. I absolutely adore how this car looks and I don't know that I've been happier with any other car I've owned.

Nice Looking Wagon But High Maintenance And Eats Gas — Great looking wagon that is rare. Strange electronic glitches like headlight out and then it mysteriously fixes itself. Has had nearly $6000 in repairs in the last year. Both catalytic converters, side door ABS needed repair, among many other things- I know the service advisors very well. I have had previous Mercedes and there is definitely a cheaper feel to the newer models. Performance is nothing to brag about. Very slow from a stop. Gas mileage is horrendous. 14 in the city 23 tops on the highway. Would probably feel like a completely different car with the kompressor engine but unfortunately, it has the slow 6 cylinder gas guzzling engine
