Pros

Very Reliable and easy to maintain. Amenities include a 6 CD changer & sunroof, as well as durable floor mats throughout the vehicle.

Cons

Not a lot of power.  It does not enjoy being aggressive.

A Very Reliable, Confident Car That Is Great For Toting The Family Around. — Really, I just wish it had more power. It's hard to accelerate off the line in a car that would like to stroll. The other problem I have is that if you don't manually turn off the head lights the battery will be dead in a few hours. I have never had that problem with other vehicles I have owned. Especially as most cars today turn off on their own........ Just saying.

Awsome Overall Crv, Low Low Maintenence — I bought this little car a few years ago for my wife. It does awesome in the snow, rain, and ice. It had 45000 miles on it. We did the 60k service and it was in expensive. Awesome for dogs and kids. Oh and a picnic table in the floor!

Pros

*Great acceleration and torque.  Good power for a 4 cylinder engine
*Very easy to change break pads and other do it yourself maintenance

Cons

*Ride is truck like and jerky, not very smooth
*Only fairly reliable - Honda quality has gone down
*EX is top trim - yet not many features and cheap plastic interior. Bottom storage door has been broken for years because of cheap plastic

Decent Mid Size Suv — Our CR-V is 11 years old with 134,000 miles and has been fairly reliable but has had two major repairs. The alternator went out a few years ago and the starter this year. However, the body has held up well, and still no rattles after 11 years. The CR-V only came in two trims, the FWD LE and AWD EX. Plastic storage bin lock broke long ago and the cheap inside door fabrics have had to be glued on. Gas mileage not as good as expected, even with good tires, regular oil changes, and air filter changes. Burns more oil than my 99 Dodge Caravan. Slightly disappointed with Honda quality. This vehicle has been given to my son for college use.

Pros

Great gas mileage, plenty of passenger & cargo space, great in snow, low maintenance, 6 disc in-dash changer

Cons

Interior & exterior color, acceleration, handling

I Wouldn't Buy One Unless It Was New! — It holds what I need it to, has lots of cargo space, it seats 5 comfortably, but I hate the way it looks, especially the exterior and interior color, handling and acceleration suck, you feel like you're going to tip over a lot & its not luxurious enough for my taste.

Pros

Roomy

Cons

Paint does not hold up, especially in Florida. Poor gas milage compared to former Honda Civic Wagons. Poor engine compartment design. Expensive to repair. Hidden repairs needed after front end collision, many not obvious, e.g. throttle body mounts for cableing.

Over Hiped! Honda Civic Wagon Was A Far Better Vehicle. — Terrible engineering concerning the throttle cable and cruise control being attached to the trottle body assembly. Front end collission results in bent parts and having to replace trottle body module ($$$) because trottle body made from cast metal and minimum support for bracket required for throttle and cruise control cabling. Unnecessary if a bracket were designed rather than molded mount to cast metal in a vunerable area at the front of the engine compartment.

Great Reliable Family Vehicle — This is a great family SUV. Very reliable, comfortable ride and safe. It has tons of rear storage with a built in picnic table for that spontanious picnic. It also has a cover that hides the rear storage. This has been a great family vehicle for the last 5 years for us.

Pros

Engine still starting and running smoothly.

Cons

The only con is that I wish I had bought TWO of these cars.  My wife now drives the CRV and I bought another car.  There are truly no negatives about the car.

Great, Reliable Car — I've been driving the CRV for 4 years and love it. For the $, it's a great vehicle. Update: now been driving the car for over 10 years and it has 175,000 miles. Have still ONLY done maintenance work on it. We did have a little rust around the gas cap that was repaired.

Superb Suv — Superb at most things it was designed for. Not a true off roader, but really handles the snow well. Loads of room, comfortable and quiet, Fairly economical and very smooth. Great build quality, 100% reliable and superb auto gearbox.Lots of toys and looks good. Will buy another one when this one is tired out. Great value

Pros

Roomy, Stereo is fairly good, fits all my stuff, great acceleration for class, smooth ride.

Cons

Wind shield wipers stick if any ice around gears, not a lot of room added by folding rear seats forward.

45

Great College Car — If you can fit your stuff in a CR-V, you will have room in your apartment at college. This was my late mothers car. It hasn't let me down. Nicer than a lot of banger that are found around campus. Smooth ride at high speeds. Great for long trips.
