Pros

She looks great, she has power (and potential gains), no emissions garbage to worry about, fuel milage is perfect! Riding like a dream is the cherry on top, definite choice if in the market for a truck Mines still going at 600,000k Definite reliablity

Cons

Just the horror stories of changing injectors, Wanna be knowledgable before getting into one

Go For It! The Amount Of Them Out There, You Can't Be Wrong! — Performance: Even with 600,000 km she still has get up and go, wouldn't keep up with a younger truck but would give them a run for their money :p Build Quality: I bought the truck at 520,000k and have only done routine maintence and a new starter into her, the problem with the 01-04.5 series is injectors tend to be weak and difficult to change but (touch wood) mine haven't gone yet, use additive Appearance: Love the "Classic" front ends, I've seen these trucks with nice looking tires and a tiny lift and they are "lookers" Only change I'd do is a bumper lift from factory, remove that 2" black trim under the grille... Cost of ownership: Great on fuel (26 mpgs) and general maintenance have been my only costs, but again have heard injectors can be pricey... Fun Factor: Hell yes!! Powers there and if she were an automatic definite trouble maker... :p

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

Lots of power for gas engine. 9600 gvw with full float 4.10 limited slip rear axle.

Cons

Poor gas mileage, some plastic rattles. Lousy resale value right now.

Pulls Like A Train, Drinks Like An Irishman — Holds $120 dollars worth of FARM gasoline. Will burn that off in 450 km with occasional towing. Pulls well, quiet ride (except the magnaflow pipe is loud), drives dodgey with 265 tires. K&N filter helped power and mileage a little, so did the exhaust. Stepping up to 265 tires from 245's took some power away but looks good with eagle alloys. Needed 2" torsion lift in front to clear fender with new tires. Excalibur running boards help the short legged ingress and look good too. Not happy with the reflex spray box liner but am happy with the hide a way 5th wheel ball. Have pulled 20' stock trailer full of cows with little fuss. Also pulled 15000 pounds of lumber capably. It's no Duramax but it only costs $40 to change the oil and the Duramax and Allison combination was nearly 10 grand more at purchase.

Great Truck — lots of power to tow my 33ft trailer. lots of room for the whole family and very comfortable ride. Everyone loves to go for a ride in it. Great for taking on holidays, because of the room and comfort. Don't have to worry about the load limit cuz its a 2500 HD

Pros

What isn't?

Cons

It'd be nice to average better than 15 but then again I have a low axle ratio 3.73 would be better

Perfect — Better than any other truck I've ever driven in all aspects in half ton to 1 ton weight classes. And looks tons better than the Chevy style.
