Ford Ka — a small car, but in hindsight fun to drive, although possibly due to driving style was fairly unreliable. On the whole poor performance, for the age build quality was reasonable, with it being second hand interior damage was evident. The cost of ownership was slight at times with petrol costing between £10 - £20 a week to travel a reasonable distance of roughly 150 miles. the fun factor, it was FUN.

Nippy Run Around, Good Second Car — Fords budget car but with nice extras like P/S & A/C. Not all that reliable but parts cheap as chips!!! Good for nipping round town but pants for going on holiday. Cool if you want a cheap run around but not reliable/tough enough for extended use!!!

The Ka Will Make You Happy! — I went to buy a Mondeo but for some reason the Dealer talked me into buying a little Ka. I don't regret that at all! This is only a 1.3 so it is not a fast as my old car. It is quite nippy at lower speeds though and is great fun to drive. It is pretty solid all round although there are lots of little dents in the doors and boot. It does look a little bit like a mouse but for some reason I kind of like it. It is also amazingly cheap to run. It's economical and cheap to repair - a brand new tyre only costs £20! Overall this is a fun, cheap car that will make you smile.

Cons

A Bit Slow

A Good Looking Ford? — I bought this car as a toy and hoping to get a little profit on it. I didn't make any money on it but that was only because I kept it for too long. Great little convertible car that was good looking and that wind in the hair feeling is absolutely brill. It was a bit slow and with most convertible, chassis flex was all too evident, but that didn't matter too much because the roof was down when it was dry and that included night time too. What's the point having a convertible and keeping it closed when it's sunny? Cool little car but a bit girlie.

First Car Ever... Sportka... Yeah... — It's my first car. Well, any further questions? :-) It runs good, is faster than you think and cheap to own. Not a dream car, but it's fun. The 1.6 liter engine gives 95 bhp. Well, still not impressive at all, yeah? I know. ;-)

Pros

Quicker than the standard Ka, Fun to drive

Cons

Plastic interior, now suffers from a "pikey" boy-racer image....

A Good, Sporty Car ((but Now With A Chavvy Image)) — This was actually a SportKa SE...so much faster than a standard Ka with lots of sport extras such as a spoiler, rear and front skirts, different front and rear lights and flared wheel arches. The interior was much upgraded with leather seats and chrome trimmed dials. This car had a great rumble from its 1.6 l engine and was very nippy and much faster than the standard Ka.

Pros

Cheap to run and insure

Cons

Very small boot and cabin. Lacks power so can struggle with hills at times.

Mini Wanna Be But Just Don't Cut The Custard — Well this is my first ever brand new car. Totally out of the norm from what i have usually driven. However they were going cheap and i was hoping to use it as a stepiong stone. Firts impressions when i drove it was, how small and cramped is this thing. but once go used to it, it was confortable. I would still be driving this if it wasn't for my Impreza. Yes it was slow and struggled with the hills round where i live. Though it wasn't a horrid experience. Running cost wasn't as cheap as expected, but still very reasonable. Insurance and tax were very low. And only ever let me down once with the heater going wrong, but was fixed under warantee. though it has packed up again. I will try and get it sorted fro my old man soon. Boot space is very limited and though i have had a suitcase in it, there was nothing left, so most stuff ends up on back seat.

Cons

The hand break is a bit temperamental.

I Love My Egg Car. — Moondust silver with minimal dents and worn inside seats. Cramped for the passenger but lovely for me on my own!
