The Best Car A Teen Could Hope For... (without Their Parents Being Loaded) — My car is a 1.4 yet is extremely quick off the mark and never lets me down. It feels sturdy to drive and has a solid handling feel to it making it easier to control. It does well for mileage as long as i'm not tearing down a motorway and looks like a very high class car both inside and out considering its affordable price. |

ProsRunning costs, handling, build quality. ConsFew.. manufacturer stereo is difficult to replace.

Fiesty Fiesta — Performance - Not too shabby for a 1.4 16v, decent enough but it's nothing compared to the ST. Handling is fantastic! Braking also very good. Build quality is high however the Duratec engine gets quite noisy at high RPM. Interior is good, only quibble is that the stereo is a struggle to replace due to its design. Exterior is pretty good but newer styles are better looking in my opinion. Costs aren't too bad, MPG is easily into the low 40's. Fun car to drive in general but being a 1.4 top speed is lacking slightly, but in general it's very good overall. |

ProsQuick for a first car, good build quality ConsIt's a Ford!

Ford Fiesta '03 Ac Zetec — Acceleration is pretty good as long as your thrashing it (as it's a 1.4 zetec, build quality is alright although it's still a Ford! Interior styling is okay if a little simplistic, exterior styling is good. Cost of ownership is very good, cheap parts and cheap servicing is good, plus cheap insurance (for me, a guy £800 with 1 years no claims at the tender age of 21) and mileage (if you're driving it nicely) is about 42mpg (maybe 30mpg if you're not!). This car is a right laugh to drive and can also be nice and quiet when you want it to be. |

The Ubiquitous Fiesta Strikes Yet Again! — The "everyone's favourite" little car is now my favourite too. This car is comparable comfortable on long journeys. It handles main road and motorways well, returning commendable fuel economy. My car is a 1.4 duratec LX model. This means I have A/C and the excellent ford invention the "Quickclear" heated windscreen. It is also equiped with a CD radio stereo. The drivers seat has vertical adjustment via a ratcheted lever. Likewise, the steering wheel has a vertical adjustment, but no horizontal extension. I don't fin this to be a problem. I am able to adjust my seating position for all driving situations. Sometimes I wish I had a 2.3 T5 Turbocharged 340bhp Volvo engine under the bonnet, but then I get to the petrol pump and I am very glad that I only have a 1.4 putting out less that 90hp. It is nippy enough to get around when unloaded, and only struggles with a full load with passenger, but thats what the gearbox is for! |

ProsVery realiable and a good runner. ConsSlow, need something more fun.

Good For A Beginner Driver. — I put 17" rims on my car which makes the car look great but overall i regret doing this because it makes the car drink considering its only a 1.2. I have done 7000 miles since i have bought the car and its still running as good as i bought it, its a very good working and reliable car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Prosspirited little hatchback, ideal first car Consexpensive parts-typical with ford

Nice And Lively — Easy to handle, got decent performance, would recommend as a first car to anyone, not to thirsty on petrol, mine being a 1.4 zetec model it can still hold its own, even with a full load, parts however are fairly dear, and some trim could be of higher quality Primary Use: Commuting to work |

It's Not Just The Colour — It's a Fiesta 'Black' and fantastic value - still has same exhaust and have only changed tyres and liquids - will be 6 years old in 2 weeks - has leather seats, air con, alloys tinted windows etc all as standard trim - great looking car and xcllnt performance and ecconomy. Primary Use: Family transportation |

Fiesta Review Mk6 — I like the way that car looks,, i love the transmission shifter, it is easy to change gears,, but sometimes i must release the clutch to put it to reverse. The car is tall and feels like you are in tractor (u swing a lot) but, it is very comfortable. And i dislike that it uses 8.2 l of fuel on 100 km. It has 1400l eng. and it has turbine. I'll recommend it to people who drive trough large cities and need to park a car in small areas. |

1.4v Zetec Ac: Nice Little Car If Not For Glitches — I also had the problem with the engine management light coming on. You need to change the coil pack (and prob the spark plugs). I was a bit slow in doing this and it ruined my cat. This is a big problem with the car as the cat is attached to the manifold, which is a big job to replace, and only a genuine replacement will do (none ford one which cost £240 lasted less than twelve months, apparently due to poor connection to the rest of the engine). |
