Pros

Tough-as-nails King Ranch interior and reliable V10

Cons

none unless you don't opt for the granny axle

Best Car-buying Decision I've Ever Made. — 2003 F350 crew cab 4x4 King Ranch with 6.8 V10... owned since new. Love everything about it performance-wise except for the 3.73 axle, should have got the 4.30 because from what i hear it doesn't kill the fuel mileage on this truck. this is my 3rd ford V10 and i swear by them... plenty of power, as reliable as a swiss watch, and cheap to own and maintain. the fuel mileage is NOT that bad considering the size either... before 35" tires i could do 12 in town and 18 hwy at 60 mph. after very heavy 35's i'm doing 10 in town and 14.5 hwy.

This Truck Has Met All My Needs And More!!! — So far this truck has been great for my family and I. Gets great milage and range on a full tank of fuel, 4 door cab is great for kids and dog. Have not found any job that it cannot do yet. Many upgrades available for it and easy to get. I would recomend this truck to anyone looking for a god family/work truck.

Powerhouse — I loved the power and acceleration . This vehicle will pull what you need hauled. Just purchased a new truck only because I needed extended cab for more room. Other than needed more room I wouldn't even look for another truck.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

All Around Good Pickup — It pulled great, and handled even better. Had all of the simple luxuries that made it a very comfortable truck. As far as exterior it had the Ford Tough look that really made it stand out while driving down main street.

Eye Catcher — Like: Looks very sharp, and has a lot of power. Has been an eye catcher and has received a lot of compliments. Has been a fun truck to own. Dislike: Has had to have "some" typical 6.0 work done to it.

Pros

Towing is great, better mpg's than gas engines, heated seats, the looks

Cons

expensive to maintain, diesel fuel is expensive, changing fuel filters, 1-ton = rough ride

I Love This Truck — Performance- good acceleration from the factory, great braking while pulling the camper, handles great with or without a load. Build Quality- it rides like a truck...., EGR valve replacement was the only repair so far....79k and counting. Appearence- I love the outside of the truck, the leather on the seats has worn well, with no rips or wear marks. I am partial to the boxey truck look. Cost of Ownership- These are expensive to maintain. 16 quarts of oil, two fuel filters, $75 air filter, back in the summer $5.02 for diesel fuel. I needed a diesel to pull the camper and it does it with the best of them. I get around 21.5 mpg's on all highway driving, 16-17 mpg's city driving, 12 mpg's while towing on the highway. Fun Factor- Not a sports car, but the acceleration is SWEET!!! I would recommend a diesel only if you really need one. Not for everyday driving. They are made to work.

Pros

Solid and strong

Cons

Fuel economy

Good Solid All Around Working Truck — Stout and solid. Pulls a lot. Room for 6. At nearly 9000 lbs with driver, no trailer, it can still keep up with cars that weigh in at half the weight. Price was good, too. Fuel economy is pitiful, averages about 11 mpg. There are performance mods available but there are certain weak points to the 6.0 engine that should be addressed before any extra power is added.
