ProsIt's big and makes you feel powerful!! ConsThe windshield wipers are going wack.

It's Very Reliable And Has Good Gas Mileage. — It goes really fast and the braking and handling is great. No repairs are needed except for the windshield wipers need to get repaired (you need to take out the fuse to stop them). Soft cushion seats and a nice beige exterior. Gas mileage is great and maintenance fees are very low. It is very fun to drive especially when going on a long road trip. Primary Use: Family transportation

The Largest Vehicle On The Planet?? Or So Chevy Claimed Back In '03. — My 2003 Chevy Suburban Z-71 has been a great vehicle for anything from the short commute to work to the long haul pulling a trailer for vacation, and especially for completing home remodels. Even though I have carried all kinds of building material in the back, the vehicle is still very clean. Performs great in all weather. Primary Use: Family transportation

Outstanding! — I Love My Truck! You can do anything in it! Great for Trips, Rides smooth and accelerates great! I ordered my truck in 2003, It was listed for 42K. I paid 35K, got the rocker panel on it, Windows tinted and whole under carriage coated, all for the price of 35K. I love driving it! Turns on a dime! Primary Use: Family transportation

2003 Cheverolet Suburban Lt 4x4 — Basically, we were looking for a vehicle that "did it all". We already had a minivan to tote our 5-member family in, but didn't have a tow vehicle that we could all fit in at the time. If it weren't for it's gas-guzzling characteristics, this 'burban would've easily replaced our minivan. Performance - great tow vehicle, great acceleration & handling Build Quality - great Appearance - I like its appearance, but I love the 2009's even more... Cost of Ownership - expect to pay more in gas Fun Factor - yes! it's fun to drive... Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

The Truck I Wish I Still Had. — This vehicle was no slouch it had a 5.3 litre vortec engine under the hood which is capable of bringing this beast from a standing start to highway speed in no time at all. the brakes were very responsive and did a good job in bringing this heavy truck to a quick stop, although a little thirsty and i believe that to be the all wheel drive and its weight factor, it more than made up for in practacality. The interior was very well thought out with controls easy to use and the seats were very comfortable for long trips which i often made and sometimes just for the pleasure of driving it. Being an older vehicle it did have its fair share of repair cost but if you can keep up with the maintenance its well worth the experience.

Great All Around Vehicle — The 6.0 engine has great power for pulling trailers while the comfortable interior for the family. Got a great deal on this one with only 83,000 miles for $15,000. This vehicle was $45,000 brand new. Not bad for something that will go another 200k with few issues. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsGreat for road trips, comfortable, stylish, all of the amenities, and great for hauling 7 people and room for cargo. Handles and rides very nice. ConsFuel mileage is low but to be expected for its size. Seems a little under powered with the 5.3L V8 but still does fine.

We Love This Vehicle, In Fact We Plan To Buy Aonther One In The Near Future. — We have way more likes than dislikes. We now have over 130,000 miles on this vehicle and it is 10 years old. The Chevy Suburban looks great and the paint has held up very well. The interior is very comfortable and durable. The only issue on the interior is the paint on the radio buttons has scratched off (believe from my wife's finger nails). The only odd noise that you can hear is a little whistle from the ONSTAR antenna (believe this has been fixed on newer models). Was not in the shop much. Replaced the water pump and steering pump myself around 80,000 miles. Replaced the left front wheel hub myself around 110,000 miles due to the speed sensor. Did the first tune-up around 120,000 miles. Overall a great vehicle! Primary Use: Family transportation

People Mover — We are a family of five. I bought this Suburban because we are very involved in scouts, like to haul our kids' and their friends, and also enjoy traveling with friends. It has served its purpose well! We have become spoiled, because when we go on family trips, no one worries about how much they are packing! Even when all 8 seats are filled, we have few complaints that it is uncomfortable (we always have the smallest bodies in the 3rd row). I would certainly buy another Suburban. ProsExcellent family car! Plenty of space for wife and 4 kids on long trips. DVD and leather seating makes it a comfortable ride. Looks great, handles the road nicely, sits high on the road so that you can see over most traffic. 6 disk CD changer along with rear seat entertainment ensures that several people can listen or watch what they want uninterrupted. ConsCould be better on gas mileage, but the 31 gallon fuel tank makes gas stops pretty rare.

Excellent Experience. I Just Bought Another Suburban Based On My 10 Years Of Owning This One. — Nothing short of an outstanding ride. Luxurious, powerful, lots of cargo space and towing power. Acceleration and braking were above average with this vehicle's size, demonstrated great ease of control even at higher speeds. We loved owning this car and are only parting with it due to a recent purchase of a 2012 suburban. Excellent SUV! Primary Use: Family transportation |
