GM engineering makes good motor but the rest of the car systems won't go past ten years.

Grey Misery Is Her Name — My first and last Corvette bought after finishing College back when you could get a job coming out of school. Every time I got in Grey Misery, it like the first time I drove her. Never had a bad day driving her. Sold her after 11 years for quite a value loss. Here is a image video of her right before the sale: youtu.be/kqSlzQil2UI

Pros

Its a corvette:) American Classic

Cons

Transmissions that came stock tend to burn up but the replacement ones from GM fix the issue. Costs to replace 3 to 4k. After the replacement however the car runs like a dream

Awesome Car — If you want to look rich for not alot of money get a Gen 5 Corvette. I get so many compliments its crazy. You can also get into any auto show you want and compete if you own one. Lots of friends to be made owning one of these.

Great Car For The $$ — Great car for the money if you are in the market for a sports car. Very reliable, great handling, excellent power and impressive fuel economy. What more can you say. My only complaint would be the seats. They really aren't up to par with the rest of the car.

Awsome Car — Ive owned 6 Corvettes in the last 58 years, and the C5 Z06 was so far ahead of the competition in the early 2000s. It will still hold its own with many new cars . Fun to drive, fast and great handling. Buy a clean one with low miles and have some fun

Pros

The best thing is the speed and all gauges project onto the windshield so you never have to look at the dash the speed is in your face at all times so it keeps you in check and not go balls out.

Cons

A little scary when the top is down and there is a lot of traffic and 18 wheelers are right next to you being so low to the ground.

Pros

We love this car! It looks good and is fun to drive and even just to ride in while my husband is driving.

Cons

This is not a big car, so it's not great for family or for carrying a lot of stuff.

We Love This Car! — This is a special-purpose vehicle. It's great for taking on vacation, or running around on the weekend. It looks great, is fun to drive and has a removable T-top so we can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine (or moon and stars) when the weather is nice. This is not a car you want to drive in really bad weather. It's meant for racetrack conditions, not winter roads.

Kids in college, the vette needs to go....so much for my midlife crisis

Love It — The only negative that I can think of is it is not a commuter car, hence the low miles. Shifting into first and second gear (because of traffic) tends to get tiresome, but on the open road with the top down, look out!

Pros

Great performance vehicle with good looks and can be used as a daily driver, even though I use as a pleasure ride only. Great mileage for a performance car - 27.5 mpg across Montana and it could be higher with a lighter foot.

Cons

Very noisy cabin with the Eagle tires and glass top, easily improved with Michelins and other top.

Fast And Fun Yet Economical — Acceleration and braking are incredible, just as easy to stop on a dime as it is to merge onto any freeway in a short distance. Very comfortable cockpit for a two seat performance vehicle and decent storage for bags/ suitcases.

Once In A Life Time Dream Car — For years I've seek to just try and sit in a Chevrolet Corvette and never could.. Until the 2003 Corvette came along.. I was very surprised that I could sit in one of these muscle cars and actually feel comfortable. Three times the dealer said I couldn't touch this car even after showing them the money.. Resorting to one of their sister dealerships about 50 miles away.. I was able to drive away with that legend. Seeing how it was 2003 and it just so happen that I was invited to Bowling Green, KY for the 50th anniversary celebration.. We made the trip. During the summer months, we participated in a number of car shows and after winning 7 trophies and 4 plaques.. only to have the car totaled late summer 2004.

This Car Is A Technological Marvel. — I like everything about this car. The seats are comfortable, the driver amenities are superb, and the bells and whistles in this Vette still amaze me. When ever I drive it I just want to keep on going. Love it.
