Fun Truck But Not For Someone Like Me — Loved this truck but its not what I thought, this truck is made for someone who wants to have fun, go off roading, get it muddy, and make it look cool. It's easy to ride but a bumpy and fun ride!

Great — It is a classy style 4x4 in appearance comfortable 4Dr cab . I did experience Having to look over my right and left for a lane change . Not the best gas but dependable and maintenance required on brakes is above average.

Pros

The Tacoma is a great truck! I fell in love with the look of this model tacoma (2001-2004) when they came out, and had to have one. It handles nicely, and has never given me a problem at all. These trucks will run forever if you maintain it right.

Cons

Very hard to think of any... I like everything about it! It could be a con to some that this truck doesn't have the power of some of the bigger trucks, but that is okay for me. I'd rather get the better gas mileage and still have a large truck bed for hauling things around.

Amazing Truck! — I recommend Toyota Tacoma for anyone who wants a truck for hauling things around, but doesn't need a ton of hauling power. They look amazing, and handle really well. It's hard to wrong when you go with Toyota. I highly recommend it!

Love My Truck — Bought my Tacoma brand new in 2002, it has over 200,000 miles on it but you could never tell it. It still looks fantastic and handles great. Very durable. You can guarantee that my next truck will be another Toyota Tacoma !

The One Others Try To Compare 2 — I smile each time i look at it... I dont do much off-road, I just drive to work and back, so i am thinking I will sell to someone who does what this truck was built to do... GO... I found this truck and even the mechanics came out and told me it was the best looking truck for its age, that they had ever worked on or saw...... I had 5 1987 Toyota 4x4's so i kind of know what I am doing,,,,,,

I love the cargo space, I love how it looks all jacked up high.

Cons

I hate the automatic transmission and lack of 4wd.

Good For Hauling Around What Needs Hauling Lol — Bought this truck specifically because I needed a useful daily that I can use for picking up parts and hauling crap around without the need for a full-size truck. It's got a 2.7L 4 cyl and does just fine for it's size. It's no street racer then again that's not what it's intended for. It's a Prerunner so it's not 4wd which kind of sucks, but it's jacked up like a 4wd so it gives it a nice look. I like how it looks, it's a clean design, needs a little TLC but other than that she's not bad. It's already paid for itself hauling work stuff and a full rear subframe from another car.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

great truck for the size

Cons

traction is very limited with 2wd

Love The Truck Would Get Another One In 4wd — Truck has decent acceleration with some improvement when power ecu is on handindling is good, has limited traction the rear tires break loose very easily. Brakes are lacking would prefer discs in the back as well. Styling is good interior space is good except for long distance driving. Gas mileage could be a little better for the size of the truck and motor. The truck is extremely fun to drive.

its a manual and its supercharged!

Cons

the back seats are pretty small

Wouldnt Trade It For Anything — its a 3.4L v6 4x4 with a supercharger and additional injector. its a blast to drive on and off the road. its a little expensive to drive around because i have to use premium gas but i dont care. i also have a sound system and magnaflow exaust so its sounds good inside and out.

if you think buying a toyota is betraying america.

Love It. — 0-60 in a blistering 8.5ish seconds, brakes pretty good. I can drift in it, and it wont flip, at least not immediately. Its a toyota, not a chevy, it'll last beyond 150,000miles. 15 mpg city, 20 highway. Fun drive, great offroad.

02 Tacoma 4x4 Trd 5speed — great power with a K&N air filter (stock replacement) clean inside and out good gas mileage good stiff TRD clutch low cost for maintenance reliable everyday driver great in snow/mud and sand especially with the E-locker engaged great commuter vehicle if you dont mind a 5 speed manual
