Best Awd For The Money — Love Subaru's we've owned 3. If you deal with snow and ice there are no better cars to have. Head gaskets on 2002 fail. We've replaced ours. Window seals go over time too. Other than that no problems. Drive happy!

Great Car For The Fuel Millage And Is Off Road Capible — The car has been great when it comes to quality, it has everything you need and more. Power is good from the 3.0 V6 Horizontal engine and is even better with the AWD. I have never seen it in a car but this one has a power band that kicks in at 4200RPM. I find it very handy due to most cars will lack in power the higher the RPM. The ride comfort is magnificent and the design almost European which makes it brilliant.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

leather, wood, moonroof, great stock stereo

Cons

brakes should be larger, wish the wheels were sportier looking

2002 Subaru Outback L.l. Bean Edition Wagon — I wish the brakes were a little better...I just wish they were bigger size brakes. It's pretty quick, considering that it's an automatic, All Wheel Drive, and it holds a bunch of stuff. The stereo is stock, except for the Pioneer AVIC-N3 GPS/AV headunit. It has two large moonroofs, although only the rear moonroof slides open; the front just tilts. The paint is cool, because it has purple chips embedded in the black metallic, so it pops when it is sunny. It gets pretty good gas mileage, even when you floor it. The styling is pretty nice, but understated. The interior is very nice with mahogany trim and two-tone leather seats. The handling is nice too and handles nicely even at higher speeds. I reccomend this car and I would buy another Subaru.

Pros

Made of quality materials, very reliable, good in snow, fun to drive

Cons

Poor acceleration, lots of engine noise, no side airbags, wasn't extremely durable.

Got The Job Done — This was a very good first car. It was noisy and slow, but it safely got me to and from school for 4 years, and it had personality.

Pros

Have driven this car over 248,000 miles with reliability in conditions of mud and snow. Has provided comfort for groups traveling.

Cons

Requires Premium gas for LL Bean Edition

Can't Go Wrong With The Llbean Edition — The LLBEAN edition is just the right height so I can reach on top of the car without needing a tall helper to pull my skis down. (Newer models are too big and high) It provides just enough clearance and control so I can drive safely on the snow. It provides enough power to pack it up and haul over the mountain passes. The LLBEAN edition also provides amazing visibility through the back windows, and has power adjustable side mirrors. (They have decreased the window sizes for newer models). The Consumer reports had 'happy circles' for all the aspects of the car, except the electronics. There has been maybe 2 issues with the electronics since buying the car that have changed the functionality.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

Love My Sueb — Subaru's are awesome. This car is a sporty 4 door sedan with power everything. Heated seats, mirrors, windshield wipers. It's All wheel drive, Auto. Even with over 130,000 miles I would take it any where I need to go, even on the logging roads and old country roads. I love this car.

It's Just An Awesome Car. — Love the reliability and functionality of the car. Not expensive to maintain it. It is expensive to fix if not handled properly. Let the right people fix your car. All the accessories on it work great. The VDC (vehicle dynamics control) works great and helps in the braking and steering.

Pros

Very good for outdoor activities. Big Trunk for equipment and also you can put things on the roof of the car.
Very practical for families with kids who require a lot of stuff.
Perfect for college students too (I would know I am one right now)

Cons

Probably not the hottest car out there.

Very Reliable — I like how smooth it runs, gas expenses are really low for the distances I drive daily. The braking is good, acceleration is average after all it isn't a sports car and it has a small engine. The steering wheel is also very smooth, easy to drive.

Would Buy It Again — This vehicle does everything except tow a load. It is a reliable vehicle that has been used hard and has rarely needed repair. I can always fit everything I need to fit into this car (including my dog) for every type of trip necessary and have never wished this car was larger.

Pros

I love limited version but overall Subaru makes great cars.

Cons

I don't like that mine came with a 4 cylinder it's a little weak when fully loaded with a roof rack but then again it gets great gas mileage.

Best Car I Have Ever Owned! — I would never get another brand of car again, it is the best car in the snow and rain I have ever driven. I get 27.5 MPG highway and 23 city and it is true balanced all wheel drive. It has over 180,000 miles and still runs like it's brand new and my grandmother had her Subaru Legacy for over 255,000 miles before someone wrecked into her I have heard them running up to 450,000 miles before and that's what I intend to get out of mine.
