Cons

Mazda Mpv — Cargo rack is useful with limited cargo space in the rear. Captains chairs make access to the rear seats easier. 6 cylinder has good power for the size of the vehicle. Looking at the CX9 as the replacement. Cheers and Happy Hunting!

Short, But Spacious Cargo-hauler, Decent Performance Within Category As Well — I've owned this car for less than a year, but it's made a pretty good impression so far. This is one of the shortest minivans available in today's market, and the advantages are huge. First, of all, where I live, San Francisco, parking is a big deal. The MPV is more than a foot shorter than the Honda Odyssey, and you'd be surprised at how many more spaces are available because of that. The cargo room only decreases by a little, so this trade-off is highly worth it. Compared to its main competitors from Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, the MPV is also a Lot lighter...900 pounds under the Odyssey, 500 under the Sienna, and 700 under the Quest. It's not a one-sided battle, obviously, with the engine lagging behind the others by an average of 40 hp. Still, the lower weight makes this car feel much more agile through turns. Of course, nobody in their right mind would try to actually race with a minivan, but it's just a confidence-inspiring ride.

All Round Winner — I'm still driving this at 192,500 miles and it is still comfortable with get up and go. I'm starting to look for a replacement just because of the mileage and some minor problems that may befixable for not too much money.

Pretty Good Van Overall. Nice Stiff Ride And Excellent Acceleration. — Very good performance for a van, great acceleration, go-kart like handling. Rather narrow.

Pros

Great family car as well as good on cargo space, accessibility and long trip drive.

Cons

Not really good on gas mileage. Sliding door motors tend to give problems.

Mazda Mpv Impressions — Overall, i think it's a great family car. Obviously it's not designed for daily commutes or for super handling but it does the job averagely. The size gives it a plus over other family vans and the add-ons like leather trims, child lock, etc. makse it nice. The cargo space and the ability for the back seats to fold into the floor is a really great plus for lond-distance travelling with luggage.
