Pros

Has lots of space, and is a very comfortable ride. Has all the accessories that anyone could want in a mini van.

Cons

Gas mileage is average, not exceptional.

My 2002 Ford Windstar Lx — The van is nice looking and rides comfortably. We had the van in the shop this past August for multiple recalls that needed to be done. Ford took care of everything wonderfully. Gas mileage is ok, nothing exceptional. Obviously gets much better mileage on the highway than it does in stop and go around town traffic.

Great Drive Short Life — My Ford Windstar had great performance, since it had a 3.8 engine and a new plentium, it ran like a dream. It was a good winter beater because it drove through snow drifts with no problems. i paid 250 for it and drove it a whole winter. the transmission pump starting pushing away from the manifold so i had to junk it.

My Windstar — I like the v-6, has good acceleration. Bit of a gas hog, though. Good for families with several kids.

No Complains — This was one really nice van, inside and out. Sport version so it had the sport wheels, fog lights and a spoiler. Inside there was a vcr with a screen so the kids could watch movies, they really enjoyed that.

My 2002 Ford Windstar Lx — This van seats 7 comfortably. The ride is great, and doesn't have that van or truck feel. It has all of the options that you would want in a minivan, and lots of storage. Taking long trips with the family was great.

Overall Good. Food Cold Have Improeved The Overall Electronic Components — overall good vehdilce. I very much the nickel and dime repairs (which were under expoetend warranty fro me, but totaled around $3.5k radio replacement, electonic modules repalcements for the air vent controls, lighting computer, ande LCD screen for entertainment system. As with all fords I have owned over the years, an extended warranty (ford's or 3rd party) is highly recommended.

$3100 — This Mini Van drives superbly. The front end feels more sturdy, safe, secure, than most other mini vans of it's class. Windstar SE's carry good resale values, low maintenance, easily accessible, reasonably priced parts (should the need arise) Some front end parts just changed, very high safety Quadruple 5-Star ratings (US), multiple passenger and vehicle safety features, is family oriented in it's design(wide body) and features, adjustable seats to accomodate family travelling, carrying, packing needs, rear climate/media controls prevents driver distraction if rear passengers need adjustments, front running lights compliment the mirror turn signal illuminating ground level in turning, adequate cargo space, wide dash and cab leg room. Overall it's a wonderful family vehicle that's still fun and sporty.

Comfort, and hauling capacity

Cons

Sometimes is a bit long to drive

I Would Buy Another One If They Still Made Them — Most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. There are some qwirks with it, but over all very reliable vehicle. Never left me stranded or had to be towed. Too bad Ford decided to stop making them. They are definitely ahead of the domestic competition.
