Good Tradeoff, Fun To Drive, Not To Expnsive To Keep On The Road, Good Looks — Performance - adequate acceleration and braking, excellent handling Build Quality - not on par with VW, not as reliable as Japanese makes. Electrics a bit iffy (grounds) Appearance - still one of the most striking designs out there, much better looking inside and out than the new focus. TCO - Not bad considering the size of the car and engine Fun factor - hell yes, could be faster, better brakes ( I guess i'll have the ST170 / SVT then!) Primary Use: Family transportation

Average — Unreliable and boring really. Has put me off Fords for good. Had problems with the engine management system and also the clutch, also water leaked into the passenger side and the A/C has gone wrong twice. Pretty quick though which is one of the defining features as I have the TDCi and i've had 135mph out of it! Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Great For Anyone With A A Grand Or 2 To Spend On A Cheap Reliablle Run About — Its a bit slow on acceleration but top speed is not bad, braking is pretty good, and handling is 100% Build quality is great, Cheao to Repair, Fun to drive but would recomend maybe the ST170 or RS. Plus the look pretty good when its all painted up =) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

... — 0-60 in about 8 seconds on a 2.0 SOHC engine running 115hp and 120lb-t it's not bad for a sedan. The suspensions dialed in tight and there's not much you can do to break traction, and the brakes stop on a dime. However Ford doesn't build cars to last any more, and its needed a few repairs here and there. It makes about 32 mpg and doesn't need to much on the maintenance side of things. And its a fun little car to drive. | ||

Focus Saloons Are Great — Its a saloon........great boot space so you can travel in it anywhere! Goes fast, is responsive, comfortable and has everything i need as it's a Ghia. Family car but fun! Petrol consumption is o-kay too tho the car tax was £125 as it's a 1600cc. I'd buy one again that's for sure. |
