Gotta Experience One At Least Once In Your Life. — Stupid amounts of torgue. Ability to roast tires at will. Supercharger whine makes me excited... If you know what I mean. Handles better than any truck and better than most cars. Best looking truck ever made. Gas mileage sucks and it requires premium. An absolute blast to drive balls to the wall. Bottom line: with minor bolt-ons you can run 12s at the track one weekend and haul your boat to the lake the next. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Magnificent — The Lightning's plugs have a tendency to be shot out; however, it's overall build is strong. The appearance is magnificent and the engine can give you shivers. SVT could have marketed it a little more strongly. Still it's brilliant. Anything else? Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |

Svt Lightning: Practical Grunt With Loads Of Fun Factor — Outstanding straight line performance and easy to modify with lots of inexpensive bolt-ons. Every DIY'ers best compromise for a daily driver with grunt and yet practical on weekends hauling mortar from the supply store. Typical Ford interior with plastic look and feel but nice suede seats with embroidered SVT logo's. |

Deep Power, Shallow Brakes, Surprisingly Composed In The Twisties. — One great motor in a solid frame. The transmission leaves something to be desired, Namely a manual. Mild Brake fade. 3.73 final drive is a bit high for my liking and for highway travel. The suspension is old design but works adequately, A touch too soft for true sport driving but nice for a daily driver. Can be surprisingly quick when pushed hard. But best of all I can roll my bike in the back and go where ever. |

I Love It! — Performance - very fast acceleration, 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Quality- good durability but some plasics in the truck could be better. Appearanc - amazing! Cost - gas is expensive, only maintenance costs- rear tires Fun- The most fun truck made PERIOD! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
