Pros

Never got stuck in the snow. Truck rolled right threw the ice and snow every time. Engine is powerful V8. Floats like a boat on highway, Smooth sailing.

Cons

Gas consumption for a truck this size is reasonable but expensive. With this truck being a premium model (Eddie Bauer), will be costly for repairs

Mr. Khold — I love the color, black and red with the tempered glass in the back. The third row seat was great for the summer time taking kids places with plenty of room. I had some jealous people at first when I got this car so I bought a locking gas cap. Not to my surprise, the person tried putting rocks in my car tank but could not get the gas cap off. LOL. Every time I leave Mikes Car Wash, the car sparkles for days and looks detailed. I kept it clean and changed the oil on time. A mechanic would love this car since it need many minor fixes.Great shape for its age and not a scratch on it

Pros

Relatively inexpensive, until you get about 150k miles.

Cons

Transmissions design is terrible! Sealed, so you cant check it, etc. Rear hatch has a piece of plastic that is glued to the glass, thus it cant expand/contract, leading to it cracking near the emblem. Costs $300-400 to replace. Fire this designer...

Decent Overall, But Poor Designs And Unresponsive Manufacturer Will Keep Me Away From Another. — See above... Trans is terrible, braking system is overloaded, and it eats rotors. Rear hatch plastic parts are terrible design, and Ford does not care. 4x4 is very harsh drive. Suspension is the roughest thing I have experienced since US Army hauled me in a deuce and half!

Well Built — Chloe is a great part of the family! She is always there when we need her to be... usually right where we left her too! She was a great vehicle when we first started having children, but now that we have 4 kids... she's getting a bit cramped! Could use an upgrade to her cousin the Expedition!

Suv At It's Finest. — Ford has the ultimate SUV in the Ford Explorer. That is why year in and year out... It is one of the best selling cars in the world. I highly recommend it to everyone I know. Hoping Ford keeps up the good work.

Shamu Is So Dependable — This vehicle is extremely dependable in all types of weather. A foot of snow is not a match for this vehicle. Over the years, maintenance has been a snap. It's been 12 years and it still cleans up so well. It has served us extremely well over the years whether it's going to work or moving furniture.

Great Vehicle — I like the power and leather seating. as well as the 3rd row seating which can be turned into extra cargo room. sunroof is great automatic lights and security system with security light on the side view mirrors is nice touch. like the style. great for the winter snow and icy roads. nice handling and command of the road headlights and fog lights are great a lot of coverage. Just have money for gas cost.
