ProsGreat towing vehicle. Comfortable ride. ConsGas mileage. With the 8.1 you get 10mpg whether on the Highway or city streets.

Love It. — Overall the vehicle is great. Towing power is phenom. However with the 8.1 engine the gas mileage is poor. A whopping 10mpg on highway or city. Ugh. Otherwise the truck is awesome. Leather interior, heated seats, onstar and 4wd. Bring on the snow. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Tank — drove it from missouri to california, no problems. great truck. would def get another one. the interior is spacious and has plenty of room for you and the boys, or you and the family, whatever youre looking for, you can get it in this truck! | ||

Great Truck — This truck was big burly and had a ton of muscle. It would pull anything you wanted it too barring you had enough money to pay for the fuel. It was rugged and took any beating. But it was not with out fail. There was always issues of things on the truck that would fail, fuel pump was one of those parts. As well as the transmission and a few sensors. These were all at the cost of the truck running until it hit 250K miles. This is an example of the old saying " they just don't build em like they used too" It may have had its issues but it had lasted through a lot of miles. I dont feel that the newer silverados would even come close in comparison. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Like A Rock — Rough, tough, and reliable, this truck can do it all. The 8' bed can handle anything I put in it, the interior is comfortable for commuting, and it can tow over 10,000lbs. Put a plow on the front and it is a money making machine in the winter! Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Gets The Job Done — This truck has the big 8.1L motor with an Allison 5-speed transmission. It will pull just about anything but don't get too far from the gas pump. Pretty basic but built like a truck, fairly sharp turning radius for as long as it is. I have put about 21,000 lbs. of seed on it and the truck does not miss a beat. The Allison in Tow mode really helps with braking. | ||

Been A Great Truck That's Served Its Purpose For Me. — I liked everything about this truck except the gas mileage. I now have 3 cars and one parking spot. If You Dont Have One Get One!! — My silverado is awesome, the lift and custom grille make it really pop out, it has awesome performance, it goes through lots of mess and takes it, it has lots of pep which makes it fun, it has horrible gas milage but oh well its a truck what do you expect. Outstanding — great acceleration,braking and handling built well but small things may pop off on interior interior and exterior great 21-22mpg highway bt suffers in city. rarely needs major mantenance unless u dnt take care of it. very fun to drive .
