CarGurus Overview

The 2002 Buick Park Avenue Base remains virtually unchanged this year, as Buick saw no need to alter its luxury full-size sedan.  With plenty of room for a family to spread out, the 2002 Park Avenue base is equipped with two bench seats for seating up to six passengers.  A 205-hp, 3.8-liter V6 and 4-speed automatic make up the powertrain.  Standard conveniences include power front seats, leather upholstery, full power features, remote entry, cruise control, and dual-zone climate control.

Safety is taken care of with 16-inch alloy wheels, a self-leveling suspension, ABS brakes, daytime running lights, automatic headlights, and dual front-side airbags.  Traction and stability control, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear parking assist are optional added security.  Other options include OnStar, a CD player, memory settings, a sunroof, heated front and rear seats, and a heads-up display.  New this year are optional wheel-mounted audio controls.  Drivers say they feel safe in the 2002 Park Avenue Base, and it does get four-star crash test ratings.  Roomy comfort and easy handling are other highlights.  Some say the interior looks too cheap for such an upscale car.

This overview covers the Base trim only.
