Pros

It is still a great car 8 years after I got it

Cons

The exterior is still beautiful, but the inside seems cheaply made, and is falling apart.

My Bimmer — The car handles amazingly. It feels like it's wrapped around you, and you're in total control. I have a manual transmission, and this car is a blast to drive. Great gas mileage. I can go on a weekend road trip, and still drive around town for a week when I get home without having to fill the tank. Very few problems with this car in the 8 years I've owned it. It is so reliable. Highly recommend bmw's to friends!

Cons

Totally Worth It. E46 Body Style Is Better Than Any Other — the BMW 325 XI is an amazing car. The sound of the exhaust as you accelerate to a quick 60 in 7.8 seconds with stiff breaking. When it does need repairs it is rather expensive but still worth it. Gas mileage is a pain, but everything else about the car makes up for it. I love driving this car, you would to if you tried cornering with it.

German Engineering For The Masses At Its Finest — 325iT wagon is AWESOME! Great handling, MPG, reliability, heated seats are fantastic, design and engineering are superb, cheap parts and needs parts less often! Way more reliable than our Benz or any other german car we have owned. GET ONE!

I'm A Customer For Life! — I have a 2002 BMW 325i sedan. It has the jet black exterior with the black leather interior with the burl wood trim. I purchased the car at a used car dealership in May of 2006, with exactly 60,500 miles for $21,900. Today (November of 2007) the car has 92,000 miles and has not given me any trouble what-so-ever. In the time I have owned the car I have made a few changes. I have purchased aftermarket rims (because the stock 17 inch rims from sports package were a little small in my opinion), tinted my windows, and got a personalized license plate. I am 20 years old (and yes I purchased it myself with my own money ; ) and I love this car!!! I am a BMW owner for life! I plan on having this car forever, and once its paid off I will probably buy a new one. I think this car has a perfect blend of looks, performance, power, etc. I wish the seats were a little more comfortable. I have the stock Sports Package which has the firmer suspension, bigger wheels (which i replaced anyway), and firmer seats. Any ride over an hour kinda gets to my back, but all in all i love the ride. the car handles awesome! it corners wonderfully and the car almost begs to be driven quickly. despite the modest 184 hp engine, the car really gets up and goes, especially when you are on the freeway. the car has excellent passing power. there is a noticable difference though if you have 4 or 5 passengers in the vehicle. or if the air conditioning is on. or if you run on regular gas. but with premium gas, and just you and 1 passenger, the car hauls pretty good! hmmm.....what else. im trying to write a real helpful review. not a short one. lol I love the xenon lights. they light the road up beautifully and get lots of attention. I have the standard bmw business radio, has lots of bass, but the acustics could be better. i would STRONGLY reccomend making sure you buy one with the harmon/kardon sound system, that radio sounds wonderful. the powered memory seats are a nice touch, and i love the ambient lighting on the inside of the vehicle. there is a soft orange light that lights up the whole interior of the car at night. its beautiful. the back seat is kinda small, only fits people up to about 5'9" comfortably. if you are 6 foot or more your knees will touch the seats in front of you, and your head will be close to the roof. the trunk is kinda small, but unless you haul lots of luggage around or go on lots of road trips it should be fine. just the normal trip to grocery store or target is fine. the gas mileage on this car is pretty good too. i drive a little on the 'spirited' side and i average about 23 mpg in mixed driving. on the hwy if i keep it at about 70 mph i average about 30 mpg. on the freeway at about 90 mph i still average about 25 mpg. the city driving is what eats the gas. i only aveage about 17 mph in the city. insurance on this vehicle is a little high, as it is considering a premium sports sedan. but its worth it. the car is very very very safe. just check out the ratings and photos from the crash tests. they are very safe cars. my brother is a chp (california hwy patrol) officer and he is always seeing car wrecks. every time he goes to an accident involving a bmw the occupants are almost always unscathed. even when a bmw rolled down an embankment the pt only had a couple bruises. and you cannot put a price on safety! not sure what else to put. hope this helps. oh um....the maintenance is expensive. the car only needs to be serviced every 15,000 miles (which is nice) but each time it cost me about 500-700 dollars. and i needed new brakes in the front which cost me about 800 dollars, jsut for pads (no rotors) and just in the front. all in all this is a wonderful vehicle that i truly love. my mom owns a 2004 acura tsx, my sister a 2001 mercedes benz e420, and i have friends with a lexus, and infiniti, etc. ANYWAY, everyone loves my car, and the bmw always gets the most attention from everyone. when i first got the car everyone thought it was brand new. even after riding inside of it they still thougtht it was brand new. when i told them it was a 2002 with 60k miles they were shocked. it still drives strong and runs smooth. even today with 90k on the odometer it drives nice. i love this car and am a bmw owner for life, i will never stray from this brand. i think this car cannot be beat for the dollar. yes its expensive, but you get a lot for your money. this truly is the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE ; )

Pros

The color, manual transmission, handling and the speed is great for a I6, 2.5L.

Cons

I wish the manual transmission was easier to learn compared to VW etc. Other than that the car is amazing all around.

Its A Sports/luxury All In One And Its A Great Car To Drive. — The performance is great, the acceleration inst bad and its especially good on higher rpm's. The breaking is good too and the handling is probably the best thing about the car as far as performance goes. The quality of the car is amazing and there hasn't been anything that i needed to change on it. The interior is about a 8 out of 10, including some wood grain and leather seats. The exterior is also very nice, its a two-door car so in my opinion is a lot better looking the the 4-doors. The cost of the car as far as gas goes is average but the oil-changes cost more the your average car. Overall I love driving this car, its a manual transmission, so its a ton of fun.

Love It! Worth The Money I Spend On It Everytime! — What can I say about my 325i...... It's a great mix of sports car and luxury car rolled into one! The car has nice curves front to back with a mean look on the front end with the head lights. Everything about this vehicle is just great. it accelerates like a champ, brakes at will, and it handles like a dream.

Quickness, convertible, BMW... 'Nuff said

Cons

Gas is the only thing I can think of... Not the greatest in snow but not bad either

Miss Her... — Loved this car, high quality performance, handling and superb breaking. No repairs ever, and never had a problem with it whether minor or major. Interior was beige leather and exterior was a blueish silver like color convertible - black soft top. Using premium gas put a whole in the wallet but overall definitely worth it. This car was a blast to drive

The Ultimate Driving Machine!!!! — Good looking car, bought at 112k and is still running strong. Had issues with cooling system but it is worth the hassel. You have to drive one to understand what I am talking about. This car turns heads everywhere I go.

Loyal And Reliable This Coming From A Guy Who Views Cars As People Instead Just A Car. — Great car for a single person not great for a family car.Have owned since 2002 and have owned other 3 series Low cost of repair. The car loves to stretch its legs on the highway If you like the e-46 platform go for the m-3 The 325 is a great commuter with lots of power but not enough for my taste.

Cons

I'll Be Buried In It. — Quick, turns on a dime, classy and sporty, high performance, easy on gas, looks awesome when driven by a metal head, really fun to drive, but....ABSOLUTELY SUCKS FOR REPAIRS! Way to expensive for even the simplest things. Put it this way: $100 for an oil change, and another $100 to change the windshield wipers....No thanks, I'll just do it myself.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
