Fun to take to car shows

Show Car Ready — Performance ~ Noticeably quicker than the Miata, and I can't say I have any complaints Build Quality ~ Have had to replace several parts since purchased, but most is just routine maintenance Appearance ~ The prior owner put a lot of money into this car, and it's great because no one knows what it is! Looks way different than stock Cost of Ownership ~ Averages 33 mpg Fun Factor ~ YES!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Just Beautiful — Performance: If your looking for a 1/4 mile car this isnt for you, however if you want a car that wont break a sweat at taking any corner, and enjoy the wind in your hair, this is the car for you Build Quality: Superb as expected from toyota Appearance: usually stock sucks, my MR-S however with TRD body kits...damn makes a huge difference Cost of Ownership: Insurance high fuel cost cheap 1.8L engine cheap as Fun Factor: definately most scariest and funnest car ever own

I Have Enjoyed It. — Hanadles great, good on gas, and reliable. Only problem was i had to replace the clutch and flywheel. Some of the stock perts are hard to get a hold of. i could only find the headlights at a toyota dealership.

Cant Go Wrong! — * Performance - accelerations amazing, braking is great but have had to replace pads pretty frequently, handling is spot on. * Build Quality - has it needed repairs? none, really soundly made car, only think i can crique is the alloys needed respraying. * Appearance - both interior and exterior styling is very much still good looking even after being an older car. * Cost of Ownership - gas mileage isnt cheap, but could be worse! * Fun Factor - is this car fun to drive? Very!

I Love This Car Its A Nice Ride And It Doesnt Break The Bank — this car is a good car to look fly in lol. its good on gas looks nice and its cheaper then most sport cars which makes it an affordable car you can fill the tank with 30 bucks and its last for days over all its fantasic.

Will Not Sell, Ever — Lots of fun to drive, performance can be a bit dull with the 1zz, but with a 2zz swap and exhaust it's perfect. Mine is so far from stock it's not really worth reviewing, but as long as you gut the precats you shouldn't have any issues.

Veilside Mr-s — Mine was remapped and heavily modified, acceleration after remap etc was great, breaking, handling all good, stuck to the floor on corners. Twitchy in rain and snow is scary. Veilside kit fitted perfectly as years went on started to look a bit tatty, due to cracks. Beautiful car Expensive to maintain (had huge wheels on back) Not so bad on petrol though. Very fun to drive.

The Last Of The True Sports Cars. — the ZZW30 for me is a labor of love, I have owned two of them, my 2000 was t-boned in may of 2008 leaving most of my modifications and 20k mile drive train perfectly intact. later that year, a 2001 MR2 Spyder showed up on the grid. Missouri salvage title because it had no working engine and it was painted matte black over the original 1DO silver paint job. the 2001 slowly started to come apart in the shop, after the OE and worn factory components had been removed, I started transplanting the drive train and other components into the new shell. in the summer of 09', I decided to give the 01' its original, factory-intended color, 1DO silver. this cars handling is rivaled only by cars wearing M badges and prancing horses due to its mid-engined layout, fantastic brakes, its un-cannely low curb weight and its direct and precise control inputs.

I love the chassy design, fun to drive and it's convertible of course!

Cons

Not quite quick enough in mid range, interior dash looks a bit cheap and plastic

Mr2 Mk3 (or Spyder) — Still love it after 5 years of owning it.. Ok it ain't the fastest car around, but one of the prettiest.. and totally impractical, which I love.. It does have some oopmh on the motorway going from around 70 to 100mph very quickly, but struggles a little in the mid range.. Helped me get out of potential issues on motorway a few times.. never scared to change lanes, I know I can speed up in time.. And driving round the English countryside with the roof off on a sunny day, unbeatable.. :-) Expensive Toyota services though, and had to have to short engine replaced (free) by Toyota coz it was a design flaw and burnt oil. Took a while to prove it as well.. I use sticky Yokohama's on the front and hardy Firestone's on the rear as they deteriorate quicker. Great fun to drive..
