Great Car, — Not a bad vehicle. it was very reliable. great on gas. the main complaint i have/had is the lack of room(5'11, 275lbs) parts were available almost anywhere and were affordable. would recommend to a friend (especially those of smaller stature)

A Good Starter For New Drivers — Its good first car; and easy to manage. It is good for city trips and giving a ride to one or two passengers. Being a small Toyota, it means that it is cheap to run as well as high reliability. I've been hit twice by fail drivers and it is still running like new.

Great Little Car — Great little car. Not the fastest, not the prettiest, not the biggest, but it is always a dependable means of transportation. The inexpensive cars a design for daily use in commuting. They perform there tasks very well. Mine started out as a program car and was then placed on a rural mail route, by my Mom, with 75 miles of mostly dirt roads. If you just keep these little guys serviced and do your routine maintenance, your will get years of loyal service. I am currently showing 178,000 and would take it anywhere.

Affordable, Economical, And Trustworthy! — A good car to get ya from point A to point B, and thats about it. A good car though at almost 30 mpg! So it is an overall good car to drive for me! Good, cheap economical car to drive into the ground!

Pros

good gas mileage, not hideous, type s!, easy maintenance, didn't kill me when i crashed it

Cons

not very powerful,  paint not very receptive to chalk drawings, cracked under pressure

All Around Average, But I'd Do It Again. — All around average car. It got me from point A to point B, but there was nothing too special about it. It had great handling, semi-decent power, good suspension, and got good gas mileage (it was only $25 to fill up the tank!!!). I drove it from San Diego to Los Angeles and back several times and from San Diego to San Francisco and back with no problems. Very little maintenance needed in the year and a half I owned it, just the regular oil changes and new brake pads. It was a pretty decent looking car too. I liked the interior especially. Lots of black with red stitching and details, better than average looking dashboard. I'm pretty positive I'd still have it now if I hadn't totaled it.

Pros

excellent gas mileage; easy to maneuver; tight turning radius; sticks to the road

Cons

acceleration isn't the best; small trunk (only able to fit 2 12's and 2 8's); interior is very susceptible to sunbleaching and warping in extreme heat.

Great On Gas; Good On Looks. — The 2001 TOyota Corolla was built in a California plant by American workers. A reliable car with a small, but fairly peppy 1.8L VVTI engine, getting as high (from personal experience) as 41 mpg. The paint is in excellent shape, and it's fairly easy to repair. Most components are easily accesible under the hood, or underneath the car. Maintenance and upkeep are typical of any Toyota (tires, oil changes, brakes, etc), with minor need for major repairs. I've driven this car for about two years, purchased with 80,000 miles, it now has over 132,000 and has only had a Mass Airflow Sensor go bad, but still ran even then (just hard, and idle was rough). Body style was only out for two years, giving it a more unique look. Would make an excellent ricer car, or sleeper.

GAS MILEAGE!!!

Cons

if you want an amazing stereo.

Great First-time Car. — technically, this is still my moms car, but i love it anyways cuz its tiny... the only bad things are that the stereo is kinda weak and it shakes when it gets up to about 60mph. but other than that the build quality is amazing and gas mileage is really nice too.

Pros

Well-balanced performer all the way to the note of the motor.

Cons

Not quite the 'drag racer' but it has outrun quite a few of them in the past.

Beyond Driven Performance 2001 Toyota Corolla S — After having driven this car for 200,000 miles all across the country, I really can't find anything to dislike. With modifications that were added through the years such as slotted rotors, racing suspension, light weight pulleys, performance clutch, and many more, this '01 Corolla S is actually a better car today than it was when it came from the factory. 0-60 in 5 seconds flat, and 144MPH top speed - pretty impressive for a naturally aspirated 1.8L 4-Cyl sedan pushing 250HP and still getting almost 30 miles to the gallon, if you actually follow the flow of traffic.
