Nothing Short Of Great Japanese Engineering — Even purchasing it used, I've had nothing but fun with it! The 1ZZ-FE is a small 1.8 liter engine, but you save on gas, and the VVT-i lets it go pretty quick for 140hp. It's very light, so it handles well, too! The interior and ride are good. The basic form already looks nice, but if you can find the Action Package body kit, it's so pretty! Mine has 148K miles, so it is due for the general maintenance, but nothing too major needs to be replaced. The small engine lets you hit up to 35 miles per gallon (I get 32 because its an auto). Overall, it's a brilliant ride.

ProsGorgeous styling, great reliability, excellent gas mileage ConsGT model not performance oriented.

Toyota Celica Gt — I absolutely love my celica. It is the best car I have ever owned. The only thing I would improve, is that I bought the GT-S six speed model. The GT is a great car, but doesn't give the performance I am looking for. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsGreat gas mileage, built in Japan. ConsTough to haul things in the back.

Worth Every Penny I Paid, Too Bad Toyota Quit Making Them! — Toyota built this car as a sports car. Unless you bought the GT-S, you got yourself a economy car. Don't get me wrong, you can get all the tickets you want and it goes well over 100. It does handle like it is on rails. I upgraded mine with Scion tC wheels and the lower wider profile tires definitely help with the cornering.

Great Car! — Not that fastest car in a straight line. But handles superbly. Put the right turbo on there for 260whp and this car is an absalute beast! Still not the fastest in a straight line but alot faster then alot of other cars out there... I freakin love it and am lookin to buy and Celica GT-S for a daily driver! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Celicas — I basically love this car....if I were to go buy it today I would get the Tsunami version for sure. The only real downfall to mine is the engine. Wish it was faster. If you don't have the money for the Tsunami version then opt for the GTS TRD versions.

The Best Celica Ever — fun car to drive, great performance and gas mileage. This is one car Toyota never should've stopped making. Scion TC is a very poor replacement, especially since the Supra died along with the Celica. On the tuner side, the celica is a rare participant, but when you do see one at a tuner meet or show, they really stand out from the rest. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsNo major problems with car ConsBlind spots on sides

Toyota Celica 2001 Gt — Everything was great about this car. Only complaint would be regarding the rear hatch hydraulics as they wore out very quickly Gas milage is very good. Car corners very well with good performance tires. Blind spots in the sides due to small rear windows and large panels Primary Use: Commuting to work

It Was A Good First Car — not very quick being the gt. it was absolute red which is a very deep red. it wasn't very fun to drive cause it wasn't fast and it was an automatic. very good gas mileage though. very good looking car. has much potential have a 9.0 compression ratio. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
