Resonable Transport, Good Quality But Slow 64 Bhp Diesel Motor — Performance? Well nothing to write about here when your car has a 64 bhp nomally aspirated diesel under the bonnet, took 19 seconds to get to 60, although i could drive everywhere with my foot flat on the floor and never get less that 50 mpg, the gear change was very good though, as you had to select many gears to keep it going. Brakes were trouble and ineffective. Handling was rather good, even from the skinny 165 70 profile tyres, actually better than my current Golf. Appearence? Look like the designer made a reasonable effort to convert a hatch into an estate and was well finished inside and out. The only extra the car came with was a stereo and roof rails. This car was poverty spec to the extreme. Plain glass windows, manual locks, windows, mirrors, no ABS, no selection of airbags Cost of ownership? It was obviously cheap to buy, insure and fuel. This car needed one or two trips too many to the garage.Wheel bearings, clutch pedals, temp senors, driveshaft ends. Dispite the lack of performance it quite nice to drive and at least i could use all the cars performance most of the time unlike many of todays cars, were you'd be locked up if you were caught trying. in the end though i was sick of locking doors after people got out and the only way you could get into the boot is via the drivers door hatch release. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |

Hehehe, Mos Si Mislit — It has a 1.4 MPi engine, nice acceleration and grip, very solid car for city drive. I like it becose it is a Fabia Combi, liots of room in it....it can be quicker than most of cars in my town that have 1.6 - 2.0 engines. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

A Vw Polo With A Golf Engine For Skoda Money. — Still driving it hard, still works fine. Allmost half a million km's now.The thing is unbelievably relieable and fuel consumption is still low, so it costs next to nothing to own. Handling is worse now, as all the suspension parts have done over 400k km's. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
