2001 Pontiac Trans Am Review
ProsLS1 Engine, T-Tops. Has Torque. Has Horsepower. Looks beautiful. Great aftermarket. Has pedigree. Good on gas IMO. ConsI picked the baseline Trans Am. So it has the worst 10 bolt rear from Pontiac of that timeline that also only has 2.73's, I don't have some appearance enhancement like the WS6 would, yet. Minor stuff trust me. You save money on getting a baseline and modding it to be better then a WS6 anyway, which is why I didn't look hard enough for a reasonable WS6.

The F-body Lives — I love my car, simple as that. It comes stock with a 310 HP, 346 CI LS1 V8. You could choose either an automatic 4-speed (A4), or a standard (manual) 6-speed transmission. To me it has become an addiction to take the T-Tops off every chance I can, but some just like to look up and be able to see the sky through the T-Tops. And I don't agree with most people when they say I have bad gas mileage, I use mine daily unfortunately but think I get pretty good gas mileage. This car is also definitely fun to drive, cruise, and definitely race with. |

Wah Boom — Performance- complete rebuilt of the top end, exhaust and some suspension work. Build quality- great, done by my own hand, handles the way i drive very well Appearence- murdered out inside and out. very clean Cost of ownership- the way i drive, gas milage isnt so great, but it is not a daily driver, shes my toy. maintenence not bad, all done myself Fun Factor- this car is great, sounds great, handles great. grabs attention Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsFun tons of potntial power ConsSmall interior, not alot of room

Trans Am Convertible — Love it since I bought it. A modern day muscle car. Very confortable while driving and can feel every bit of horsepower. Potentially tons of power with 310 stock(not the WS6) already have it to around 400. Great design and body lines, not just one contour like cameros. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

I Love It — its a t-top car.. It performs very well and handling is absolutly amazing, I only drive the car on weekends so it is relativly cheap to maintain. The car is a blast to drive with 415 horse power and 400lb/ft of tourqe at the wheels Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

I'll Never Sell Her. If I Do, I'll Just Buy Another One. — Great looking car with breathtaking acceleration, even by today's standards!! Even before all the mods, the car was a BLAST to hop in and just take off driving. On the back roads, or blasting up the on ramp, she never failed to make me smile. Probably why I still own her. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

The T/a — ls1 motor with slp intake lid, pacesetter off road headers complete with a flowmaster muffler. about 350 hp i am guessing. has drilled and sloted rotors for stopping power. 0-60 in about 4.8 seconds. gets pretty good fuel mileage. beautiful looking car. and is a blast to drive. what more do you want.lol |

'01 Trans Am Review — Ridiculous Torque, Has A Very Angry Look To It, Straight Pipes Sound Nasty, LS1 Pretty Much Speaks For Itself, Gas Mileage Sucks (about 10) But I'd Rather Fill Up A Lot And Have Some Muscle Under My Hood, Excellent Build Quality, Good Brakes, Handles Excellent For A RWD V8 Car, 4-Bangers and V-6 Cars Dont Even Try, I Dont Care How Big Your Turbo Is, I've Got American Muscle. Let's Run. |
