Great Car — Performance was great... the engine had a lot of miles but, what do you want for a used car Appearance - few cigarette burns in the seats but otherwise cherry inside and out Cost of Ownership- The V6 is a tad thirsty when it's used everyday Fun Factor - Great car Overall... Miss it a lot

Pros

nice space, lots of trunk room, sporty yet great in bad conditions, can fit in with the crowd or can be an eye poper it all depends on what you do to it and its fairly easy to customize, and engine is very dependable never had to do any out of the ordinary maintenance.

Cons

the 2001 models have a security issue which isnt easy to perminently fix but there is an easy temporary fix which gets annoying sometimes but it works

Pontiac Grand Am Review — its an inexpensive reliable yet sporty car with good gas mileage and is easy to customize and give that unique look a lot of people desire anymore. all in all i think its really nice for a first car or for someone looking to have a decent ride and stay in budget.

Love These Cars! Have Owned Two! — I've owned two. First one was a silver 01 SE coupe 2.4L. Ran well and lasted me 6years and is still running but I sold it to buy another Grand Am. I bought it used and put over 100k on it. It started having small problems here and there like any other car after high mileage and old age. I maintained it well, I got my moneys worth out of it and it was/still is a great car. The one I drive now is an 01 jet black GT1 Coupe, 75th anniversary edition. I got it for an amazing deal and its in great shape with low miles. Its twice as sharp. The package you get makes a good difference. After owning both theres not question I like the 3.4L better. Has great power and still gets great mpg. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CAR!!

Great Overall Car!!! — Nothing bad to say about this car. I've only owned Grand Ams, and have been very pleased with the performance, reliability and sporty look of them. You must go for the V6 engine if you want .to leave everyone else in the dust (even on hills!) I've had very little trouble with my current car, which I've owned for eight years. It has over 140,000 miles on it, and aside from some expected repairs over that time (new battery, wheel bearing, catalytic converter), this car has cost me less in repairs than any other vehicle I've owned thus far. I love the sunroof, and the powerful stereo system also! Have never been disappointed with a Grand Am yet!

My Princess — When I got her, everything under the hood was new, including brakes, windshield, tires, headlights, rim, hubcaps and more. Her performance is very good, she can keep up good for a 4-cylinder. Her acceleration is beautiful, and so is the brakes and handling. The only thing is shes not great in water compared to Fang. She is also beautiful on the outside, headlights are shiny and her color is fantastic. The gas sucks but she doesnt cost much to maintain. She is very fun to drive!!!

Great Car — I would like to be able to fold down the rear seats for added trunk space but otherwise storage and inside passenger room is comfortable. I would recommend this car, as I've owed two other grand ams before. The maintenance can be a bit pricey at times however which takes away from a higher review.

Best Car To Drive If You're Looking For A Sporty Look. — This car picks up quicker than any other similar car I've driven. Breaking is outstanding and it hasn't given me any issues with handling. This car only needed an O2 sensor that was damaged by a previous owner. I've obviously done some work to the outside (i.e. - projector headlights & cowl induction hood.) Gas mileage on this car is great even with running air conditioning if you drive it right. The only maintenance this car requires is standard for any car (i.e. oil change, breaks.) This car has all in all been a joy to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
