Prosstyling, handling, fun to drive Consgas mileage, transmission

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder — Quick to accelerate at first but the transmission has problems shifting from second to third gear in automatic. Also the reverse solenoid fluid has had to be replaced twice in the past. Other than that the car drives nicely, the suspension can be a little tight for long trips etc but it is a fun car to drive. The only other complaint i would have is that there is little trunk space in the car but what else can you expect with a convertible?

ProsI love the manual transmission and the drop top. I also like the power and the sound i get when i put my foot down. ConsBecause of the convertible, I cant take my car to any tracks like VIR or anything like that. Also the radio would be complex to upgrade PROPERLY.

Awesome, Fun, Fast Car That A College Student Can Afford. Please Don't Rice One Out ;'( — Hmm... well i love my car. I never thought that i would own a convertible, but then i got this baby!!!! The car is really fun to drive and the open air experience is awesome!!!! Mods and upgrades aren't expensive, but be careful on how many you get cuz that $$$ will build up quick!!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsSporty look and feel, fast acceleration, comfortable driver and passenger seats, automatic everything, premium radio system, and good gas ConsPremium Gas, couple blind spots, jolts when shifted into reverse (holding the brakes fixes this), some shaking of the steering wheel when going over 60 mph on highways.

The Perfect Little Sports Car — This was my baby for two years and I will be so sad to see it go! I named it Spinner because its a Spyder and spider spin webs ha! anyway this car will definitely stay burned into my memory for a very long time. I loved how fast I feel I'm going when I drive it. I have the wind blowing through my hair, my music pumped up, and people staring, honking, and whistling as I zoom down the streets. I wish I could keep this car for the days that the sun's shining and I just want to joy ride and enjoy the freedom and power this car contains. Going to college in the fall that is six hours away, I have to buy a new car with outstanding gas mileage and more cargo space. That is my only reason for selling it. This is an overall outstanding car and I probably will tear up the day I see it leave. Primary Use: Commuting to work

The Perfect Little Sports Car — I am going to miss this car so much! Not a day goes by that I don't get a honk here or a whistle there for my cute little sports car. I love how fast I feel like I'm going even though I'm at the speed limit. The convertible top is my favorite! The wind through my hair and the radio blasting my favorite tunes is the way I like to drive. I have gotten several complements on how nice my car is. It's definitely a beauty! I have to sell it because I'm going to college soon six hours away and need a car with ridiculously high gas mileage and more cargo space. I hope to get a car like this one in the future after I get my career, house, family, and am ready to ride like the wind. When I drive this car I feel like I'm flying! It's such an intense feeling of freedom and power taking this baby down the road. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGreat style (looks). Leather seats, six disc CD changer, the ability to feel like a Nascar drive=amazing. Handling is good ConsSmall backseats (its like the backseat doesnt even exist unless your friend or family is five years old or less than 100 pounds). Cargo room, loud wind/outside noises on interstate.

Great Car For Me At Least... — Overall, I love this car. It was my first car and the only one I have ever had. In all the years I have had her (yes I have named her, Foxy) I have never had to take her to get any repairs, except for replacing the convertible top (only after almost ten years of use though) and I recently just replaced the transmission. Other than that she has been a great car for me. I absolutely love her. For me, as I have no kids and relatively no need for mass amounts of space, the car was a great fit. Although the cargo space is small, I was still able to commute back and forth from college and the car still had enough room for small luggage bags and a dog crate. I would suggests this car for those that like speed, great looks and those who dont need a family car.

ProsGets 30 mpg, handles great on the curves, fun car to drive. ConsMotor shot, over heated. Very low to the ground.

Fun, Cheap Car. Easy To Handle. — Car is fun to drive, drop the top and let the wind blow! Very cheap to operate and very good at speeds for a 4 cylinder. Lots of new custom parts including head lights, tail and brake lights. New rotors and brake pads, radiator, timing belt, but didn't replace the thermostat, that apparently stuck. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Love My Car! — My car handles really well. The gas is very sensitive and the brakes work well. The drivers side window rattles sometimes... I think I might need to get the seals redone... I love the way my car looks, it is soo cool. It gets pretty good gas mileage, I drive from Tucson to 29 Palms on just over a tank of gas... The only real problem I have is that I always want to go faster... Primary Use: Family transportation

Overall Amazing. — The acceleration could be better. The front bumper needs to be repaired. The exterior is amazing and the interior is all black leather. The gas milage is decent for a sports car. Maintenance wise, not too bad. Fun to drive! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
