CarGurus Overview

The Mercedes-Benz E320 four-door wagon was powered by a 3.2-liter V6 engine that produced 221 horsepower. The engine was linked to a five-speed automatic transmission equipped with the Touch Shift feature, which enabled the driver to upshift and downshift by nudging the shift lever left or right.

The E320 wagon came with third-row seating that folded down to provide additional cargo space, and provided the most cargo capacity of any vehicle in its class, according to reports.

The 2001 E320 wagon was available with an optional Sport Package, which included a sportier suspension, special wheels, and more aerodynamic lower body panels designed by AMG, the in-house high-performance tuner for Mercedes.

Standard features for the E320 wagon included leather seats with power adjustment in the front, a two-zone automatic climate control system, dual front and side airbags, power windows, power exterior mirrors, cruise control, and an AM/FM audio system with a cassette player. A CD player was available as an option. Other options included a parking alert system, Mercedes' COMAND navigation system, and a sunroof with a new one-touch opening feature.

The E320 wagon was also equipped with anti-lock brakes, traction control, and the Electronic Stability Programming (ESP) anti-skid system.

Drivers found a lot to like about the 2001 E320 wagon, not the least of which was the overall build quality that defined many of Mercedes' best luxury cars. Drivers also like the E320's smooth ride, responsive handling, styling, and comfort. Some drivers, however, reported having mechanical problems with the vehicle.

This overview covers the E320 Wagon trim only.
