Like its stable-mates, the livery-destined Executive trim of the Lincoln Town Car received a nominal power increase for 2001. It was especially important for the Executive, though, since this level wasn't eligible for the stronger engine (15 more horses) that came standard on the Cartier and was available in an options package on the Signature.
That is, in fact, what differentiates the Executive and the Signature; aside from the availability of that Touring package, their standard equipment and individually available options were the same. Despite its status as the lowest-priced of the 2001 Town Cars, the Executive trim was very nicely equipped with all of the expected amenities of a luxury sedan: leather, air conditioning, power-adjustable seats and pedals, traction control, and several types of air bags.
The Executive trim was not invited to the same party as the other Town Cars, though, as the front-seat heaters, like the sronger engine, could not be added. A moonroof, mud guards, and daytime running lights were available, however.
