Works! — Wife's car. It fills the bill. It has all the features needed and being rather lightly used was an exceptional deal. Easy to work on; plenty of parts available, everywhere. Cost of ownership is low; mechanically it is great - not a performance car but very dependable.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Great, Powerful Sedan! — The car has great acceleration and feels powerful. Last time we took it to Midas, they said everything was perfect except the Power Steering Fluid needs to be flushed. The interior looks nice, and exterior is nice and pretty sleek. MPG is pretty good, 27 MPG highway. Not much maintenance done on it. It is fun to drive cause it packs a good punch when accelerating.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

it's a solid reliable car and gets 34 m/g

Cons

the Ford Taurus could have came with on optional high performance engine, suspension, and transmission.

A Nice Looking Car — The Ford Taurus is an engineering marvel that changed the shape in automotive history which made the car stylish and intriguing. the reliability good, power could be improved with a more powerful engine and stronger trans. the suspension could be tougher, and the car could have been designed with sports car enthusiasm in mind. for the most part, my Ford Taurus is another mid sized sedan used for every day use and tends to be very reliable, but Ford could have done so much more to appeal to every market to make this car astronomical besides just economical.

great mileage

Cons

no air and gas gage doesnt work

My Old Ford Taurus — My car is old. The air conditioner doesnt work and neither does the gas gage. It does get 25 miles to the gallon, and is a very comfortable and dependable car. It starts right up in the coldest winter mornings. But, I am so ready for a new car! Hopefully, next summer I will get a Ford Edge!

Pros

Great Get up and go, great on gas, drives real nice.

Cons

Had slight oil leak due to dry rotting of parts when i got it and sometimes the radio knob doesnt work. but other then that its good.

A Great First Car!! — This is my first car and i have to say I love it. It has great get up and go. You can really feel the Ford Power when you slam on the gas. It also drives very nicely and turns on a dime. The Ford Taurus is a great car for a first car.

A Driver's Car — Accelaration Excellent,Handling equivalent to a midsize german car(On SES option w/3.0 V-6 duratec Engine)Pleasantly sufficient,Room even w/center console somewhat spacious - Get the Leather seats they are firm but comfortable - Probably great for trips, don't know yet just bought vehicle today(02/12/08)From what I've read Fuel Economy is decent for a midsize car - will find out soon. Overall very good buy,First Ford car,I've owned Ford Trucks(they just keep going)- I hope this is true for thier cars, must be because thats why they say Its the No.1 selling mid-size car in America!

One thing goes wrong it takes fixing 6 parts before you finally figure out its the cheapest fix but you already spent more than you should have.

Cool Car With A Good Sound — I never thought I would own a Ford.., much less a Taurus. I love my car but the people that had it before me didn't take care of it. I'm not saying that the whole life of the car and the other previous owners didn't take care of it but the second to last owner had it for 18 days..., let me repeat.., 18 DAYS and they didn't want it so they reposed it.., I am stuck now with it making weird noises and a huge vacuum leak that seems next to impossible to find or fix.

Good Value — Great car overall. Roomy, was reasonable for our family of 5 for over 2 years until we got our minivan. Still use it now as my transportation to work, and it's perfect for that as well. Comfortable transportation, even though AC just quit.
