Ok Cars — Performance- decent acceleration, when humid the rear brakes will squeak due to pads swelling Build quality- valve covers and oil pan are common problems Appearance- very attractive Cost of ownership- get good gas mileage and repairs can get expensive Fun Factor- great car keeps up or passes almost all non- turbo cars

Pros

performance, looks, quiet

Cons

some wiring issues

2001 Monte Carlo Ls — Although it is a Chevrolet and I'm a Ford guy, this is probably one of the best cars I've owned. Great performance, fuel economy, plush but sport ride and very quiet. A real head turner when it is washed up and polished. Most people thought I would get poor fuel economy, but so far it is anywhere from 35-40 MPG.

Carl — i love the appearance, interior and exterior. i enjoy the power, acceleration and braking, but the handling resembles that of a school bus. it has not needed any repairs although the brakes squeak at times as well as a small amount of trim rust. the gas mileage is amazing and the maintenance is low. this car is fun to drive because it is not tempting to speed in it, its great to just look good in the car cruising around, yet the power is there if somebody challenged you. i would recommend this car for anybody with a heavy foot, it is less tempting to speed, yet i would not recommend it for those who have trouble controlling a car (new drivers) due to the fact that it is long, handles poorly, and has power.

Pros

Reliability, Engine power to gas mileage ratio

Cons

2 door, big car.

2001 Monte Carlo — No major problems to speak of. Not the fastest, most comfortable car on the road, but engine has enough power and gas mileage isn't too shabby. Being a two door, kind of a big pointless car, but I like it.

A Pretty Decent Sports Car. — This vehicle has almost 200,000 miles on it, so it has definitely been reliable. It seems to have a lot of problems that don't impact the driveability, but cost little bits of money quite often. It has decent gas mileage and still has some decent power.

Pros

It is easy to change out parts and add mods with little experience. The replacement body work is fairly affordable. the stock sound system is in my opinion is a 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Cons

kinda hard to put things into because if you have lather interior it will tear it.  the trunk is ok but could be bigger. if u have not ever use your parking brake and it has never been used there is a chance it may break and stay locked up and have to manually disengage it.

Slick How It Comes — all in all this car is a great driver and has good power how it comes stock. The 3.8L v6 is a upgrade able motor but it is affordable. Most of the upgrades/mods are fairly easy to do. As long as you keep up on your maintenance it is a very reliable vehicle.

A Fun Car! — I enjoy the sunroof, an added bonus :) She performs very well on the highway, as the Monte Carlo is an SS edition so it moves through traffic quite easily. Nice V6 engine under the hood. The entertainment options are a little dated in the vehicle, but the driving experience is great.

Monte — 2001 Monte Carlo Pace car number 701 of 1300 made great looks , great handling, and great fuel mileage. This will sit in a garage all winter and most of the summer. We get it out for a fun ride and car cruises

Do Not Buy — This was my first car and was the worst one, not reliable at all. Started to have car troubles when car was finally paid off and out of warranty. Had to trade it in since the transmission was going out.
