A Pretty Decent Sports Car. — This vehicle has almost 200,000 miles on it, so it has definitely been reliable. It seems to have a lot of problems that don't impact the driveability, but cost little bits of money quite often. It has decent gas mileage and still has some decent power.

A Fun Car! — I enjoy the sunroof, an added bonus :) She performs very well on the highway, as the Monte Carlo is an SS edition so it moves through traffic quite easily. Nice V6 engine under the hood. The entertainment options are a little dated in the vehicle, but the driving experience is great.

Do Not Buy — This was my first car and was the worst one, not reliable at all. Started to have car troubles when car was finally paid off and out of warranty. Had to trade it in since the transmission was going out.

comfortable, stylish, rather quick, easy to maintain

Cons

avoid the 3.4 litre engine.  the 3.8 is a bullet-proof engine.

Love The Car — The only thing wrong with the car is the engine. The man who "designed" this engine was a freakin moron! AVOID THE 3.4L V6 ENGINES AT ALL COSTS!!!! Other than that, the car is fantastic. It's comfortable, easy to work on, and a great first car.

I Have Enjoyed Having And Driving This Car — I bought this car fairly new with 22,000 miles and it has been the most reliable car i have ever had. It now is 8 years old with 98000 miles and still looks like new. I still to this day get compliments on it everywhere i go.

2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo — This car is great. Quick, Quiet, Reliable, Stylish, Spacious and Comfortable. But it is so boring to drive. I guess I'm used to driving my Fiero. I recommend this car to someone who isn't concerned with a spirited drive. It's not a true SS by definition, but an all around good car to own.
