A Pretty Decent Sports Car. — This vehicle has almost 200,000 miles on it, so it has definitely been reliable. It seems to have a lot of problems that don't impact the driveability, but cost little bits of money quite often. It has decent gas mileage and still has some decent power.

I Used To Love Her But Now I Have To Kill Her.... — This car costs way too much money to maintain. Front wheel drive cars have too much that can go wrong and common problems aren't fixed by the usual solutions. Find your self a less costly car.

Pros

It is easy to change out parts and add mods with little experience. The replacement body work is fairly affordable. the stock sound system is in my opinion is a 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Cons

kinda hard to put things into because if you have lather interior it will tear it.  the trunk is ok but could be bigger. if u have not ever use your parking brake and it has never been used there is a chance it may break and stay locked up and have to manually disengage it.

Slick How It Comes — all in all this car is a great driver and has good power how it comes stock. The 3.8L v6 is a upgrade able motor but it is affordable. Most of the upgrades/mods are fairly easy to do. As long as you keep up on your maintenance it is a very reliable vehicle.

2001 Monte Carlo Ls — Although it is a Chevrolet and I'm a Ford guy, this is probably one of the best cars I've owned. Great performance, fuel economy, plush but sport ride and very quiet. A real head turner when it is washed up and polished. Most people thought I would get poor fuel economy, but so far it is anywhere from 35-40 MPG.

A Fun Car! — I enjoy the sunroof, an added bonus :) She performs very well on the highway, as the Monte Carlo is an SS edition so it moves through traffic quite easily. Nice V6 engine under the hood. The entertainment options are a little dated in the vehicle, but the driving experience is great.

Monte — 2001 Monte Carlo Pace car number 701 of 1300 made great looks , great handling, and great fuel mileage. This will sit in a garage all winter and most of the summer. We get it out for a fun ride and car cruises

Do Not Buy — This was my first car and was the worst one, not reliable at all. Started to have car troubles when car was finally paid off and out of warranty. Had to trade it in since the transmission was going out.

Comfort. quiet [unless the radio is cranked up] regular maintenance without major needs. :) Everything about her is fantastic, handling, acceleration, stopping....she's just a lot of fun!

Nice To Drive And It Turns Heads But Won't Pass A Gas Pump W/o Stopping. By blabonte
