1 Inch To The Ground. — It was my first car, better power with a Unitronic chip, got GLI seats, lots of mods, sleek styling, still looks good today, fuel efficient and good in any weather. Fun to drive and roomy for cargo and friends. I loved that car and it was hard to sell it.

ProsStyling, Options, Performance ConsMileage, Cost of parts

200 Jetta Vr6 — Beautiful car. I like it a lot, the VR6 has power to spare for a compact car. GLS has every option. Beige leather interior, power everything, moon roof, climate control, cruise, 6 disc changer in trunk, 4 wheel discs, heated seats and mirrors. Handles very well, the 5-speed helps that VR6 engine get up and go pretty quickly. The only down side is having to put a minimum 91 octane in the car and synthetic oil and the high price of European parts, but thats the price you pay to drive most German vehicles. Comfortable, stylish and overall fun to drive, favourite car I've ever owned by far. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

2000 Volkswagen Jetta GL TDi Review
ProsGreat on Gas ConsExpensive repairs/maintenance (Beware of low clearance for OIL Pan!!!), Slow

Fuel Economy Of A Hybrid For Less! — All TDI owners know what you buy a TDI for: Fuel Economy. With the cost of fuel continually increasing, the TDI is a great way to beat the price of fuel. The TDI gets anywhere from 40-50 MPG depending on transmission choice, how you drive it and if the car is in need of service. The interior is adequate for a small car, though the backseat is cramped. There is plenty of trunk space and a decent audio system. The engine has plenty of low end torque, but the power tends to top off after 3000-4000 RPM not gaining much. 5 Speed manual recommended. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Reliable German Car — You take good care of the car & the car will take care of U! Lots of fun to drive especially because of the manual trasmition: you are in charge, having full control on your gas millage & acceleration capabilities! Average gas millage is 22 miles per gallon in town & 33 miles on the interstate, pretty good for a V6 ;) Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGas sipper Conslittle rattles expensive to repair, if they can find them
35
Dependable, Great On Gas... — it's only a 4cyl, can't expect anything more than a lil pep...that it has and its great on gas...ALOT of rattles are starting to show up, too much road noise, and feel every bump. Car of the Young HS student, a good beat around town mode of transportation. With over 140k miles, it has a long life still ahead of it but it must be treated gingerly... Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Car To Drive, High Fun Factor — I love my Jetta, a fun car, fun to drive, excellent road feel, great acceleration, handling & braking (ABS). occational electrical problems, repaired by my VW mechanic (now runs great). I love the look, good on gas, burns some oil (typical of 2.0L engine). great amenities and comfort with style! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsCar has amazing amounts of power for a family car ConsIf you looking for massive amounts of power, get american muscle

Lots Of Fun But Not A Muscle Car — Amizing amounts of torque and power with little modification. Some clear coat peeling on front grill and hood. Even with more than 200 horse power still gets about 30 miles per gallon of gas. Car interior is immaculate for being 9 years old Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

This Car Is An Aquired Taste — Its very fun to drive, gas miliage is very good for a v6, 400km to the tank. Need regular maintenance otherwise can get very expensive. Has a few quirks but what car dosent. Has an absolutely beatuful sound to it. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsThe premium features of much larger cars, VR6, pretty good at almost anything. Conscould use a bit more low end grunt, should hve 200hp, could be a tiny bit larger, 4motion should have been an option,

Pretty Good At Anything... — The Jetta GLX is a car that is missing in todays VW line up. GLX= LOADED. Rain sensing wipers, auto up and down windows, auto sun roof, great Monsoon 8 speaker sound system that rivals any bose available in a car from 2000.
