I Like It Alot — car runs like a new and very good on gas mileage. all the gases are not the same, put in some good quality gas like BP then it will runs good. it will last you for least 200,000 miles and this car is well built reliable car

I'd Would Trust Toyota With My Life — Got this car from dealer after it's been in a crash (they did very good job, not a trace outside), it had 141,000 miles. Right after that I drove it from Chicago to Connecticut and back without a single issue (though dealer recommended to change rear brakes, and front tires were bald - I took care of it later). I already have it for a year, no issues provided regular oil change. I drive about 20,000 per year; I tend to believe those who say you can put 400,000 miles on Corolla (if you drive that long:), unlike in American cars. Yes, it is a bit slow on acceleration, but then I leave everybody behind. Stylish look in teal color, put nice chrome looking wheel covers from Walmart, looks great.

Worthwhile, Though Didn't Get My Hoped-for 300k Out Of It. — Just retiring my 2000 Corolla VE and it has 249,000 miles on it. got on this site to see if this year had frequent problems with oil consumption... been pouring about 2qrts/200 miles into my engine now for about 6 months. Carbon buildup inside the engine I was told. Still handles very well, however, aside from the engine other systems have been fine. In its glory days it used to get 40mpg!

Great Car — Good braking and handling, great quality, the acceleration could be better. doesn't need a lot of repairs and it's pretty cheap to repair, efficient in gas, interiors no so great, maintenance is pretty low doesn't need a lot of care

Cons

Old Faithful — Performance wise = 5/10 (Stock standard perfomance) Build Quality = 8/10 (it's well build without fancy curves) Appearence = 5/10 (on the I still have lots to do to make eye-catching) Cost of Ownership = decent amount of money (blown top gasket) Fun Factor = 7/10 (it's ok) It's a known fact that toyota carollas are very overpriced becuase of it's popularity and it was like that in my case when I bought this car...so next time i'll look long and hard before attempting to buy another car (hopefuly this time a spanking new one!)

Super Reliable, Economy, Low Maintenance Car That Pleases Any Car Buyer — Likes: Economy (40+ highway / 30+ city mpg), handling, minimal maintenance, low TCO, power/weight ratio, low turning radius, super-reliable, comfortable, decent moderate looks Dislikes: Bad weather handling, big people may suffer, limited cargo space, may feel light during high winds, non-luxury Overall, high build-quality. Fuel economy is a massive plus. I have driven Priuses - but believe me, if you are driving on highways, you would rather drive the Corolla than the Prius. I have driven this car on really long drives - upto 10-12 hours at one go (with only gas fill up in between) and nothing seems to bother the car. This car has been so reliable for me that I would hate losing this car to a newer (probably better) car even if I can afford the latter. I have had to spend little maintaining the car - changed a battery, AC fluid and belt once each - thats about it and then the oil changes every 5k miles. I feel that any new consumer who is looking for a car has a great choice in the biggest selling car in history.

Corolla Reliable — The estate model is exceptionally spacious. Its 1.8 liter 4 cylinders are enough to put you in good speed, both straight line and cruising. The braking is reliable and works well in wet conditions (after a bit of pumping action).

2000 Corolla — This is a pretty good quality car, drove it for 5 years, and didnt baby it, and all it needed was oil and gas to keep running.. Its a manual so i enjoy rowing the gears, although the shifting is rubbish, however the clutch feel is good. Otherwise, looks, power, speed, noise levels, interior room, etc arent good at all.

Cons

small leg room.

I'd Drive It Over And Over... — For a 9 yr old car it runs pretty damn good. fuel consumption is very ok for the age of the car considering its A/T. It's all stock inside and out except for the rims which i got from a corolla altis. ride and handling is ok. it only has 61000++ kms mileage on it. rides like new. maintenance wise parts are available and price is very ok. downside? leg room could use a little bit more tho the boot is very spacious.
