2000 Toyota Camry Solara Overview
The 2000 Camry Solara did not change much from the previous year, when it was newly introduced to the market. The biggest change was the introduction of a convertible.
The 2000 Camry Solara came in two trim levels: the base SE and the well-appointed SLE. The SE comes standard with a 2.2 liter, four-cylinder engine, and the SLE comes standard with a V6, 3.0-liter engine. Unlike its competitors the Honda Accord and the Chrysler Sebring, the 2000 Camry Solara was available with a five-speed manual transmission with the V6 engine. Fuel economy is about 20 to 30 miles per gallon.
Drivers of the 2000 Camry Solara praise the car for its typical Toyota reliability and quality. The few complaints mostly centered around the high price tag and smaller issues, like dissatisfaction with the stereo system.
