Fantastic Drive — Fantastic truck, great ride, smooth driving, we travel across country in this car and it has done well. Very low maintenance car, as long as you do regular maintenance it will last forever. Very comfortable, fun to drive, seated high up in car, plenty of storage space in back. Toyota is the best car on the market.

This Is My Second (and Counting). If You Want An Enclosed 4x4, This Is The One! — I love the Toyota quality. I love that the seats fit me just perfectly. The much maligned seating position actually works for me. The best thing is the roll-down rear window. No other vehicle comes as close to open air cruising except the Del Sol. Open the sunroof and the back window, and you get 90% of the cooling of windows with 20% of the noise!

Great Looking Suv. — This SUV has been a great addition to our family. It looks sharp, it's durable, roomy, and safe, and is in really good condition. It drives great and has all working features, automatic sun roof, power locks on doors, heater in front and back, a/c, tow package.

Primary Use: Family transportation

4runners provide a tremendous value.  Good performance and milage combined with very low maintenance costs make this a great SUV for the money.

Cons

Lighter weight, not full time AWD.

Great Truck For The Money — These particular 4runners are still in high demand for starter SUVs or that 4WD enthusiast wanting a little more room than a Jeep. The electronic Differential control works well for occasional off roading or boat ramps. The seating wears well and can be easily maintained or replaced at a very low cost if required. Maintenance on toyota trucks is legendarily affordable and many owners are getting in excess of 400K miles out of the truck with routine maintenance. These factors combine to provide a great all around SUV, and for the money, it's a steal.

Drove It To New York(montauk) And Back Without So Much As A Hitch. — it starts everyday. change the oil every 3000 mls and drive it till the wheels fall off. which hopefuly will be somewhere around 300,000 miles. my first import truck, was always a chevy guy before but now, i guess i'm a convert.

Grrrrreat — I love most everything about this fine automobile. the only thing i'd like to see improved is a little more horse power to have a little more "get up" when getting on to the highway. but other than that, the best car i've owned!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

This is a good all around vehicle.  Never been stuck.  Never had trouble parking it.  Never broken down on me.

Cons

gas mileage

Im Glad I Bought It. — I love the room. I love the stereo. I love the quality. I don't like the horrible gas mileage, or the road noise the tires make. The v6 is strong enough of an engine for the size of the vehicle and actually pulls pretty good in a pinch at low end. It is a toyota so you know the quality and resale value are there.

So Far, It's Great! — Bought my 2000 4Runner SR5 3.14 2WD automatic Sport Package in September 2007. It had 60,000 miles on it and has been trouble free so far. I like the solid feel and quality workmanship in this vehicle. I would recommend the Toyota brand to anyone looking for quality.
