The Viggen is the only convertible to house the larger 2.3 liter turbocharged inline four. This small but potent power plant generates 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is only available paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The Viggen is set apart by additional features like keyless entry, tinted glass, a memory function for the driver seat and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Viggen Coupe

The Viggen is the more expensive and more powerful of the two coupes. This coupe is powered by a 2.3 liter inline four, making 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual is the only available transmission. The Viggen comes with all of the available 9-3 features, including full power accessories, ABS, power seats, a sunroof, leather upholstery and air conditioning. A CD player was optional this year.
