Pros

Comfortable, Reliable, Smoot Handling, Off-Road rep stands strong.

Cons

Bad gas mileage, weak engine, SUV handling, lots of cheap plastics used in interior

First Car...first Love — I love this car to pieces. The seats are the most comfortable things ever. Jeep builds a very mechanically sound car. The only downside is that it has a lot of plastics and cheap materials in it...but the sound system is amazing! Power is weak. It only a 195 HP, but it delivers when necessary, but forget about racing the sucker. The one thing I hate the most about it is the gas mileage. My car averages 15mpg... On a side note, the 4WD system really works. It's not nearly as advanced as modern systems are, but I have a hard time getting the thing to kick out in snow or dirt. Damn can this thing off road as well!! The only reason I would get rid of my car is for something with better mpg's, but otherwise I would buy myself a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is gas wasn't an issue.

Sexy Beast — so versatile and the best most reliable 4 wheel drive available. It has gotten me through soo much snow and mud and weather with the utmost confidence. And it's just awesome looking. But also space for cargo like skis, bikes, luggage. and of course people!

Love My Jeep Cherokee!! — A bit uncomfortable for guests in the back seat on long trips. Feels very safe when driving. Very confortable driver's seat. Love the V8 engine. Leather is nice quality and towing is a dream. Low mantienance vehicle; would buy another.

Great Highway & Off Road Cruiser! — Very comfortable car to drive on Long Journeys. Can pack a full load. Great off roader with excellent ground clearance & adequately powered in-line six cylinder with the low range tourge at the right RPMs

Pros

Looks, comfortable interior.

Cons

Build quality, electronics, brakes, everything.

75

Just Mediocre — Best thing was the looks, all the chrome. Roomy, comfortable leather interior. Water pumps died at 80,000 and again at 140,000. Engine replaced at 130,000 miles. Terrible brakes, unreliable electronics, glitchy turn signals, blown transfer case. Everything that could go wrong did, even the shocks that hold open the hood and liftgate. Fuel economy was actually not bad with the I-6.

Pros

4WD, V8 engine, trail-rated, good acceleration, lots of features, comfortable ride

Cons

Transmission had the bad tendency to have issues

45

Got It Handed Down As The 4runner Was Retired From My Family's Service. — Everything was SOLID and I would have given it straight 5 stars were it not for 2 things. Transmission problems plagued me for MONTHS with no resolution. I blew out some speakers, even though my music wasn't that loud.

Cons

Thumbs Up! — She hasn't let me down yet! Climb rocks when we go to the jeep thing, because i have to say there isn't anything that i can't say bad about driving it. Except for my AC unit failed so its freaking hot in the summer!
