Pros

Fast, 4WD, big tires, comfortable and functional trunk.

Cons

Gas guzzler, no CD player and everyone else wants to drive it.

In Awesome Shape. — I just love the ride, it sits like a truck and rides smooth. 4WD is perfect in the snow and car has great acceleration. I think it's the best model and year of the Grand Cherokees but that's just me.

Cons

Wheeling In Luxury — my jeep is an ok jeep. not the best in the world but ok. breaks are heavy, steering is heavy but thats because of the solid front axle. acceleration sucks because of the inline six. good torque but not enough horsepower. the build quality is ok. its a solid car but occasionaly there is a squeek coming from the front end if i'm making a hard turn and hit a pretty significant bump but it sounds like the steering linkages are binding. other than that no sounds or anything. gas mileage isn't that great i get about 15 to 16 average between highway and intown and with a 18 gallon tank that means i have to fill up once ever 4 or 5 days and its usually about 60 bucks with it somewhere between 1/4 and empty.

Pros

4WD, V8 engine, trail-rated, good acceleration, lots of features, comfortable ride

Cons

Transmission had the bad tendency to have issues

Got It Handed Down As The 4runner Was Retired From My Family's Service. — Everything was SOLID and I would have given it straight 5 stars were it not for 2 things. Transmission problems plagued me for MONTHS with no resolution. I blew out some speakers, even though my music wasn't that loud.

It Is What It Is. A 4wd Lumbering Beast Of A Vehicle. — I liked it for quite a while...then gas prices soared. Regretted purchase every time I gassed up. Very nice to have the 4WD in winter. Handled like a champ. It walks right through snow & slush. Sitting up high for visibility is nice. I wish I would have went with the Subaru Forester.

Jeeps Are Good Vehicles — This was a great car for my family. It was my daily driver for 5 years and never let us down. Safe reliable and very capable 4x4 for bad weather. Never once stayed home or put chains on to go over a pass. Buy a used one and skip making big payments.

My Car — I've loved owning this Jeep, when I moved to MA it was the best thing to handle the ups and downs of the weather.. I put on Pirelli tires and have never felt less than 100% confident on the road.

Pros

It is a great looking car!  I've really loved driving it.  Comfortable drive and it's great out here in Colorado.

Cons

I had to make multiple repairs all at once which was expensive.  Now that I have all the major things fixed I feel really comfortable driving it.

Good Looking Mountain Car — I think the only thing I really disliked about the Jeep was the gas mileage. Like any SUV it doesn't get amazing mileage but it isn't the worst. I'm a nanny so I do a lot of driving and it can kill my wallet at times. Great for a family though and a very reliable vehicle.

I Love My Jeep — I love my jeep, I never expected to own an SUV. I love it so much I don't want to trade it in to get another car, I want to keep it till the end. She's my baby! She gets me where I need to go.

Pros

Great sound, spacious, room for cargo, long road trips & moving, fun to drive & off-roading capabilities, no exterior damage, braking/accelerating & handling/control, fair maintenance cost

Cons

Gas mileage, dim headlights, high mileage, once overheated so now it has new cooling system which was NOT cheap.  Rollover reputation of these larger SUVs.

Great Outdoor Sports And Activities Vehicle — I loved owning this car in Jackson, WY and driving it across the country. It's an excellent vehicle for towing and carrying gear year round -- skiing to whitewater rafting to kayaking to camping -- it's seen it all. Still has all capabilities despite high mileage, though I had to repair many things once I bought it and now it is in great shape. Drives well on passes and in mountain and unusual terrain, as well as every day commuting. Down side now is having a large car in a suburban/urban setting where there are fewer outdoor sports -- and finding parking!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
