2000 Honda CRV the car will drop RPM gauge to zero while driving at which time then you have no get up and go,no pep,barely enough to keep going 20mph, but not hard to start and it doesn't die completely. Where do I begin looking at under hood for my problem?
My Honda CRV will not start sometime well almost all the time now you can play with the gear shift and turn the key at the same time and you can get it to start sometimes but now that won't work and you have to push the car throw it in park and sometimes that will get it to start the starter is not bad the battery is not fully charged what could it be. And it won't start in neutral either
Check engine light came on, code said bad catalytic converter. changed the cat and it is still doing it. driving on interstate and car shuts off while driving. let it sit for a few minutes then restart. drive more and car shuts off again.
My mechanic wants to charge me $285 to secure the engine oil dipstick. Does that sound like a reasonable price? Is it something I could do myself with a coat hanger?
