Best Truck I Have Ever Seen! — this truck out proformes every other truck in its class that i have ever driven or worked with. i mean is abuolutly blowes me away evey time i drive it. almost never needs any repair besides standared stuff. put a chip on it and a set of flowmasters and your running almost 20 mpg city! amazingly smooth ride for a 4X4 and when your off road its almost the same. the interior still looks perfect and its my work truck. this truck set my love of fords and all my friends that have a F-150 agree its the best truck they ever bought.

Pros

Powerful and able truck with plenty of room, comfort and visibility. Easy to handle and the 4WD is awesome.

Cons

Obviously the big V8 eats a lot of gas and it takes a bit more finesse to park in crowded lots.

Amazing Truck For Anything That Requires Towing, Hauling Or Off-roading. — Purchased this truck for a pretty good deal when I was needing the ability to travel up to the California woods with a lot of equipment. Loved having the 5.4 V8 despite the high gas cost. It was always reliable and ready to take on any kind of road conditions. Surprised by the low miles for a 2000 vehicle. Cost of maintenance is pretty low since it's Ford and one of the most common trucks out there. Hate to see it go but I'm just not needing it anymore in Kansas City.

Fast, sounds really good, drives good, pretty comfy, can haul lots of stuff, doesn't ever break.

Cons

its only 2wd! :(

My Trusty Little Ford — Its a good, reliable and fairly fast old oil field truck. It was chipped at some point and I put a 3" exhaust on it so it sounds good, and it gets pretty good gas mileage. its never been broke, it runs awesome, it drives nice, and all in all is a good and loyal steed. It gets me where I want to go and does it with a smile. and on time. What else could a Texan ask for other than a good ol' truck?

If You Can Do Basic Mechanics Yourself You Will Rarely Need To Have It Worked On — Over all a great truck i would buy again but probably in a crew cab. With a exhaust system the sound really improves. Basic engine mods really wake her us as well. the 4x4 can clear 285-70-17 tires at stock height which is nice.

Pros

Cons

Mild performance.  6' bed

Good Truck For A College Student. — Not the best performance truck. It only has a 4.2L V6 but the K&N filter does help. It is very solid and well engineered. I think these trucks can look awesome if done the right way. Since it's an XL, the interior is very basic; rubber flooring, no power locks or windows. Gets around 14mpg city, 25mpg highway. This truck only has 68,000 miles so mechanically it is in great shape and has not needed any severe maintenance. Stick is awesome to drive.

Do It All Truck! — A true do it all vehicle. I take this over other vehicles when I have choice because of the comfort. When I have a job hauling or pulling this truck gets the nod every time. Very smooth power range and shifting.

2000 Ford F150 Lariet — Great, versatile truck. However, it is difficult to know where the truck ends and begins so parking (without buzzing something) s a challenge. Fun truck to drive and the extra payload was worth it. Hauls anything. Wish the mphs was higher.

Great Truck For Towing And Hauling — What I like is low maintenance cost, also has a lot of torque for towing, controls are simple, cargo capacity is great since this has the 3/4 ton underpinning and brakes, what I don't like is mileage around town is 10mpg.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Easy to drive, good to haul things, carries good loads, travels well

Cons

Acceleration is sometimes hard to control and on long trips sometimes gets too much

Great Truck — Acceleration is sometimes hard to handle brakes good for a big truck and handles good even when towing things. in 6 years of driving it finally needed a new transmission, rattles a little but nothing major. Exterior is solid green and interior is a dark tan cloth. Everything is electric and has T.V. with VCR and we installed a basic channel T.V. antenna on back window, had an A/C Power inverter in and bolted under seat for a PS2 and XboX to be used since there were AV inputs for T.V.. Gets good gas mileage for a truck and is not hard to keep up with. Very fun to drive, good stereo system and great to tow, and pull trailers with

Pros

Bench seat and seats in the back for all three kids.

Cons

8' bed makes it hard to back up and don't think about parallel parking with it.

Dependable Work Horse — I bought this truck in October 2011 with 207k miles. It was very dependable, never broke down once. The engine never let's the power go even with the AC on full power. Decent and comfortable seats in the back for my children too. I traded it in on my '06 VW Passat and received $1750 as the trade in.
