No Long Road Trips — very sturdy has its shakes and squells, but for a 2000 with 155,000 i can live with it. havent found something it cant pull. i used to mud it so things broke in the past. recently i just been goin through battery terminals. great on power horse power and torque. factory syling was before its time but still looks good other than body damage. it gets about 12 mpg's and its the funnest thing to drive. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Reliable — This Truck has lots and lots of power. I Have never toped this truck i have had it 120 plus... The disadvantages about this Truck is that it likes to suck the gas. I put 75 Dollars in gas and i can go to Lonoke and back and us half a tank of gas. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

2000 Ram 1500 — its a badazz truck. Had a few problems with it though. I've owned it for 3 years and have put 12K miles on it. I have so far replaced...3 rear U-joints, brakes and rotors, 2 O2 sensors, brake lines, 4 tires, ECM. and other regular maint. stuff. Truck drives fabulous but is a money pit. Is my first chyrsler product and most likely my last. Overall the truck will do anything you want it to..but be prepared to pay for it. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

No Comment — It's slow and a huge gas hog. Ok at towing if the transmission actually makes it off the dealer lot. Not a huge fan of 2wd trucks but it's decent, doesn't have an lsd so that one tire fire is great. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

? — quick acceleration, handles nice, needed a lot of repairs: ball joints, alternator, radiator hose, muffler, universal joints, and springs. Interior is nice, low mileage (60,000). fair on gas mileage no rust, painted the entire undercarriage with used motor oil to prevent rust. Buy Dodge — the truck has power and then some i went with the 5.9 so i suffer gas milage at the expense of pulling power . it has a really smooth transmission and ride as well the accoustics are awesome and the extra doors in the back r helpfull Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Work Only — Bought this truck in September 2006 just because it was perfect for my job. No frills, no thrills, no performance. The 3.9 litre V6 was gutless, the 4-speed auto was frail, the ride was much worse than I think a truck should have. But to just look at it, I made the right choice. 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2l 4x4 — Fuel economy takes a hit being that it's a 5.2L, but even for that engine, after some basic mods, the mileage isn't too bad. Very powerful, 4x4 will get you out of anywhere, handling is sturdy and takes bumps and holes no problem. Definitely recommend this truck to other Dodge lovers, the "older" styles are the more solid built of the Dodge's. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
