ProsGood overall vehicle Consintake gaskets need replaced, transmission valves start to stick

2000 Venture — I've always thought the GM mini-vans were the best in class. We only got around 22-24mpg with ours but my mom can get 30 on the highway and my brother gets around 28. Make sure the intake gaskets have been replaced if you go to buy one of these and there has been some issues with the valves sticking in the transmissions. Overall these are pretty reliable and solid vehicles though. Ours had over 130,00 miles on it. Mine ended up getting repo-ed by a title loan company because of my dumb ex-wife.

2000 Chevrolet Venture LS Extended Review
ProsVery functional van and pretty cheap for repairs. Consthe only reason that I can think that you should avoid this van is that the clutch on the wiper motor gets worn the wipers park in the up position when you shut them off.

Safe, fun And Reliable And American Made So Parts And Service Is Cheaper. — I like having the 3400 series motor, It has lots of power on the highway, It has the compass and temp display on the ceiling. It also has remote keyless entry and dual sliding doors with 8 passenger seating. and rear heat controls. Gas mileage is pretty good to for a big van considering the size of the engine. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosversitile Conspaint problem

Versitile — very versitile, passengers or cargo, it works for all. handles well for a mini-van, little has been needed for repairs, got 80k off the original set of tires. it is the econo version, so no power windows or anything, even just an a.m./f.m. radio, but I am happy with it.

Great Fort Kids — The built in LCD TV and video system are great. Makes our lives easier cause the kids love it. Got some pretty neat toys for the adults too. Fairly easy on fuel and not lazy, Looks better in Pearl Silver (like ours).
