Pros

The price for this car used is phenominal for the handling and MPG you get.

Cons

I can't have 20 of them.

Awesome — This car compared to other foreign model sports cars is unsurpassed in all respects. The value for the money is uncomparable. The amount of miles you can travel with the 6-speed manual on a tank of gas is incredible. I took a 4200 mile trip, running at an average of 80-95 miles an hour with a top speed of 177 miles per hour and still averaged 30.4 miles per gallon. How can you beat that?

I Love It. — Z51 package handles very good. No squeaks, no rattles, looks great, ergonomic interior, excellent mileage and fun to drive. Very inexpensive to own. I bought it new and it now has 55,000 on it. Rear end has a minor leak still haunting me after it was fixed under warranty.

Awesome Car Fun To Drive — I think the C5 Corvette is one of the best cars you can buy for the money. It is responsive and sure footed in almost anything you can throw at it. I think it is one of tne best looking cars you can buy with styling and looks comparable to much more expensive Exotics with the performance to match with out the high cost of maintenance.

My Take On A 2000 Corvette — The Corvette is a great car. Looks great outside and had awesome performance and handling. It's extremely fun to drive and would recommend to anybody. Although it is a V8, it gets good gas mileage and can be anyone's daily driver. However, the interior is cheap and tends to need a lot of attention to keep it decent. Stock stereo is great except for the head unit.

Hot — Fast, fun, hard on gas mileage, typical American car of the early 2000. Detroit union made. Some inferior workmanship and subsequent reliability of parts. Replaced the air conditioner and power steering unit. Still a performance bargain for the price. I want a newer version (2007 Z06).

Pros

Surprisingly free of typical Corvette issues. Maintenance has been on time and any repairs needed were made immediately so it is in excellent mechanical condition. Interior is like new.

Cons

Had to remove run-flats, as there is no dealer in this area to repair them. Glass tops tend to crack along the edges over time.

Super Clean All Black 2000 Corvette Glass Top Coupe — When I first bought this car, it had numerous electrical issues. It was in the shop on four occassions due to needed corrections of electrical issues, but after the first year of repairs, it has been surprisingly free of problems. The normal repairs that arise over time have been nothing out of the oridinary, and I average about 22 MPG around the city, so gas mileage is not really an issue. Probably due to the overdrive. Generally a great car.

Fun — 350 hp and 350 lb torque very fun and entertaining car. Rides great and surprisingly gets any where from 26 to 24 mpg. The convertable top is very simple and easy to use, not to mention looks great. Bose sound system is also great.

Everyone Should Own At Least One — This is my second Corvette. The first one I had was an automatic with well over 100K and I used it for a daily driver. It was a great car and all of my friends who also own Corvettes kept telling me you need a manual. Well, I purchased this one and I love it except for the fact I have to change gears. I get all the gear changing I want in the trucks at work. When we are out for a Sunday afternoon cruise I just want to put it in gear and go.

Its A Beast — There is nothing comparable to driving a corvette. The way it accelerates and hugs the road is exclusive for this car. Its 11 years old, and people still stare at it like its a new sports car.Best performance, joy ride, and just all around fun.

2000 Corvette Convertible — A sudden burst of power on these new corvettes. They are very quiet as they just idle along but when you mash your foot down you can be very surprised. The bumper is plastic and that always makes me think the car is very cheap unlike the old ones.
