1999 Toyota RAV4

The 1999 Toyota Rav4 remained the same as the 1998 with no noticeable changes. Still available was the 2-door soft-top as well as the 2- and 4-door hard top available in 2- or all-wheel drive.
The 1999 model remained fun to drive, although lacking in the peppiness available in cars of similar weight (2723 pounds). The engine is a 2.0-liter 4I capable of 127 horsepower. A full spare is included, and the transmission is available as automatic or 5-speed manual.
Fuel economy is estimated at 22/26, but reviewers reported getting up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
