Porsche - There Is No Substitute — Great speed and awesome handling. Great looking car with the top up and tremendous with the top down. Ooooo ya! The car is so good the Germans even drive it in the winter months. Have to admit - it did touch snow and was great since the engine is ove the drive wheels.

Fun — Funnest car I've ever owned. handles great and seems to agree with the road much better than my corvette did. Looking for another now in a little newer model. Leather seats fit most people very well and the heat option is nice.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Awesome. Everyone Should At Least Drive One For A Day — Power, Prestige and Precision ! Just drive an AWD Cabriolet n u too will be hooked. Oh, n leave the tiptronic at the dealership, otherwise maybe you should be looking at a Prius. Sorry if I sound a little biased, but it really has been a pleasure driving this 911. I have the hardest time putting it in the garage.

Pros

Handles excellent and its power is unmatched to any other car.

Cons

Maintenance is usually higher than a typical car but it is expected with a 100k price tag.

Excellent Driving, Fast, Reliable And Handles Excellent. — I did not dislike anything about this car other than the maintenance costs. The car is more reliable than most and it gets great gas mileage, which about 20 to 25 in the city and about 30 to 35 mpg on highway depending on traffic conditions and speed.

Primary Use: Family transportation

What I Think About Olga — I always loved Porsches but this one has surpassed all my expectations. It is comfortable, tight, fast, beautiful, and absolutely classic. Many sports cars are difficult to drive due to poor visibility to the rear and they are hard to drive in traffic. Not this car. It's so easy to drive everywhere. I've had it in horrible rush hour traffic in L.A. to the most open road you can imagine with equal pleasure. I've had it on the track at 150MPH where it felt as stable as 70MPH on the freeway. 4 years of ownership has not diminished my love of this car. Oh yes, her name is Olga.

Pros

Best handling car I have experienced.  Love the 6 speed gear box.  Sounds fantastic!  Seats are extremely comfortable.  Love it!

Cons

Can't use cruise control above 120 MPH.  Can't downshift into 5th above 146 MPH.  Lol!  Nothing to complain about.  I know the tires will be expensive but I knew that before I bought it.

Loving My 911 — Always wanted a 911 and this automobile exceeds my hopes and dreams! Water cooling has made them easier to maintain along with hydraulic lifters eliminating the constant valve adjustments for previous models. Owned one MBZ in the past and I am equally pleased with the beautiful way things are finished and well thought out. Power band, via double overhead cams with infinitely variable cam timing, is basically from idle to it's 7,200 RPM red line. Take it for a spin around the block and a bad mood isn't even a memory afterwards. Probably will add K&N cold air intake which is supposed to make it sound even better! Back seat is small but it is a sports car so it is amazing to even have a back seat. Can hardly wait to run Hwy 1 from Morro Bay to Monterey, my favorite road! Have only owned her for a couple of months so ratings are premature however I plan on doing all repair and maintenance myself so hopefully won't be out of control. Couple of years should help with overall views and I am looking forward to them!

Pros

It's a Stuttgart Porsche! It is never hesitant and is more than fun with the top up or down.

Cons

The interior is small and the rear seats are all but useless. It is okay to run to town with the kids in the back seat but forget about the weekend getaway (unless its just the two of you) as they are just too uncomfortable.

The Porsche 911 Cab Is Perfect For Getting To And From Work. — This Porsche is my daily driver and has never been on the track. It doesn't require a lot of maintenance but I have had to repair a few of the gadgets. This is most likely because of the age of the vehicle. I upgraded the stereo to a Kenwood touchscreen navigation unit. The exterior is purple (vesuvio metallic) and the interior is black. I have the hard top which only stays on during the winter as driving with the top down is so much fun! This 911 drives like a dream! When I want to accelerate I push down on the gas pedal. It doesn't hesitate in the least almost as if it wants to go faster! I very rarely drive over the speed limit posted but do enjoy getting from 0 to the speed limit as quickly as I want to. The handling is perfect for a car this size and the brakes are heavy enough to assist as needed. I have owned several sports cars and this one has been my favorite in every single way.

1999 Carrera Coupe Was Impressive To A 16yr Old — It had the carbon fiber interior package, aero package, and 18in turbo wheels. The car handled excellent and the 296hp felt like about 350hp.

More Looks Than Goes — The "there is no substitute" for a Porsche is completely overrated. The car performs...but it can perform better.

Nothing really...it looks good.

Cons

Tiptronic is gutless

Stick With Hot Air! — It does not compare to the air cooled porsches. These cars are now cheaply built, tinny versions of once great roaring beasts. I suspect, an S with a 6 speed gets a bit closer to the real deal than my Tiptronic Carrera. Still, look for a good air cooled 911 and you can't go wrong. Don't believe the hype.
