Pontiac Ta Ws6 — Love the car, fast, good gas mileage. Handles great. By far the fastest car I have ever owned. Would like to have had this car when I was a kid back in high school. It's a dream to drive around.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

No matter how old this car gets..*the kids and adults alike*..always give a thumbs up..or *oh yea*...Looks sleek, runs good, and has a lot of humph....Pontiac puts a lot into there cars..a lot of bang for your buck...i'm a Pontiac girl..

Cons

Some of the ways you have to fix this thing..are ridiculous..especially the power windows. Known fact..these window guides go..the knuckle?..and I had to buy a new window instead of the guide?..rivets...common now..good ol fashioned nuts and bolts for me!...

The Bat Mobile~ — Im updating this a little better. This car starts no matter what. It rides firm, but is suppose to. The creaks it has are when its bone chilling cold. Weve been expieriencing single digit temps. This car, warms up a bit..and stops creaking. The window tops do not leak, because i've taken care of always penetrating dressings on the rubber. I can go thru any car wash. I only use brushless, but the water never seeps in. You must use rubber dressing and leather protector on all the specific parts. You wont have a problem. A little maintenance goes a long way. I bought different tire size so I could drive it through the winter. I believe the R series works the best. I can get thru snow just fine. The windows are power..i make sure the car is warmed up and the windows go up and down fine. For years the car sat outside. So during the warmer months, I always gave it heavy or not coats of wax. I use Maguires most times. It seems to keep the best. I do take it for runs on the freeway..Keeps it performing the highest levels. I routinely rotate tires, every 3K miles I give it an oil change. I have only gone throught two batteries in 15 yrs. I buy the best that I can afford. Ive never been stranded. I can pack a ton in the back trunk even the top T Top windows are stored back there. You can even lower the back seats for more space. Driving this is the best. Yes its comfortable..Most passengers like it..but the back seat is made for a little kid. Its safe for them because they're low and buckled in the seat. I just bought a new set of speakers. The Monsoon system was great when it was new..but now the difference is way better.. I bought Blaupunkts and they went right in. Did It myself only having to spice the wires for the fittings. Nothing else to buy. The brakes are fantastic..stop on a dime. I never had it undercoated which was foolish but the under body is still in good shape for the most part. I clean off all the salt when it get bad. I only have a small bubble starting are the rocker panel/drivers side. Ill get that fixed when I can. the Paint is still great. but watch out for the little ol ladies and they're volks wagens..I had one park next to me and open her door and slammed into my wheelwell..no fixing that. First month I got it..but other than that...its like with anything...a little maintenance goes a long way!

Fun To Drive — Lots of power, great handling, the model I have is the Ram Air option, WS6. T-Top, Red color Great looking car with a lot of power to scare away many ponies and then some. In few words, a modern Muscle car.

Best Sports Car Gm Ever Made And A Huge Disappointment They Did Away With Them — great car alway been a trans am fan they look so much better than the camaro. lots of upgrades out there for them. looking to do a ls6 swap to it next not that the ls1 is a bad motor but cheaper to do the swap and be able to take supercharged fords with out froced induction

Build quality could be a little better.  I have 109k miles on it though, and it is still pretty solid.

Kickass — Freakin Awesome! The thing has plenty of power, it has great style, and for a muscle car it gets pretty good mileage....not that that is a problem. Have a few more things that i want to do to make it look original, otherwise the car is gonna be a weekend warrior until i save enough for a flat out horsepower machine.

Poor-man's Corvette — Overall it's such a great car, especially with the price LS1's (1998-2002) are available at. The build quality isn't that great. Eventually there will be squeaks and rattles everywhere, and if you add many modifications, it's only a matter of time till the transmission (automatic) or rearend go. Still, it's an amazing performer for what you pay, and in my opinion you can't beat the look of a clean, black WS6.

Stupid fast. Crazy handling.

Seats were not that comfortable. Not built for a tall person like me to wear a hat or get out of.

Great Car! Would Definitely Recommend People To At Least Drive A Trans Am Once In Their Lifetime. — I loved the car, but the back seats were just horrible to sit in. You had no leg room and if you rode in them for long periods of time, your knees would start to hurt. The front seats were alright, but not the best. The car did have a lot of cargo room though, you could fit a whole sub with amp in it and it would fit perfectly. The handling was amazing, i went around a sharp 90 degree corner at 55 mph and it didnt even try to go in the ditch. The acceleration was great too! It could have used a shift kit because shifts were not firm, more laggy. We got around 17 to 18 mpg estimated. It was a joy to drive this car though! You couldnt drive it with a frown on your face!
