1999 Pontiac Bonneville 4 Dr SLE Sedan Review
ProsGood power for a comfortable 4-door sedan. SLE and most models have great factory body style and effects. 30 MPG highway/25+ city. Great in the winter. ConsBrakes can get loud in hot weather, terrible turn radius, and of course the dreaded manifold issue.

Best All Around Sedan Ever. — These cars keep their book value and more, great on gas for such a large mid-size with a powerful engine. Body and factory ground effects need no mods, I love the 16" tire size on my SLE, one can actually fit 22" rims with low-profile tires if they wish. Rare mechanical issues except for the manifold problem, which is the only real con of this car. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsThe engineering - down to the air pump in the trunk ConsMust have premium fuel

Best Car I Ever Bought New! — This car has the best performance, ridability, functionality, and the most comfortable seats of any car I have ever driven. It has had some interesting mechanical failures under the hood, pulleys and latches, but in general has been bulletproof. I love the heads-up display, the 12 way power seats, the rear seat legroom. And the torque is amazing for a boat. Primary Use: Family transportation

One Of The Best Cars I've Ever Driven. — My dad got this car as a demo back in '99 and he left the car for me when he passed away when I was a freshman. I love the car as much as he does. It might be a full-size, but the acceleration is awesome. 0-60 in 7 seconds. Roomy for long road trips, love the engine, FUN TO DRIVE, and Bose Sound System is absolutely amazing. Might be getting another car soon but this is the greatest first car anyone can get.

I Love My Car, I Am Glad That It Was My First Vehicle! — I really enjoy my car! I bought it used five years ago, and the only thing that I have needed to replace was the belt, back brake pads, and fuel tank. It is recommended that I get new tires in another 8,000 miles. I have over 120,000 miles on my car. It runs great! I trust it! It is big and roomy! Accelarion, braking, handling is no problem. The only thing that is annoying when you drive 65 it shakes, but if you drive less than that or 70 it doesn't shake. It has done that since I bought it.... It also makes decent gas milage. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Huh? — Ow man i love my car! Its a fast and comfy car! Its engine is a 3800 tuned port injetion and has plenty of room for upgrades for the car. The previous owner didnt take care of it when it was on the lot thou. :( the car was sitting for nine months and it needed to have the licence reregistered, new brakes, trans fluid, oil change, and a bit more. The guy never cleaned it out either. Got a free umbreala thou! Lol

ProsIt turns off the interior lights for me when I forget. ConsThe key fob quit and I have to unlock it manually.

The Workhorse — Really new cars get better mileage but this thing takes really good care of me. I'm always comfortable. I can fit band gear in it beyond my expectations for a "family sedan". I use it and abuse it and it just keeps going. Someday I'll have to face finding a replacement but it's going to be a tough act to follow.

Love It! — I didn't want it because it looked exactly like my grandma's car. It accelerates so fast because of the supercharge and I love the power! The interior is extremely comfortable, but we have had to make lots of repairs in 6 months. Primary Use: Commuting to work
